  1. Wow! You've actually managed to make it look attractive 😯 The shape and proportions look good in that first shot. It's growing on me. Good job.
  2. Seeing these, I can hear the theme tune in my mind.
  3. Your passion for all things Hawker shines through Max. Beautifully finished Typhoon.
  4. Nice and busy looking Rob. Good job. Ever thought of putting a ship in a bottle? πŸ˜‰
  5. Here's my take on that grungy door. This was great fun and gave me a brief rest from the main event. I did some work on the kit part to get to this stage. Like many other components, the kit door is pretty good but does permit a bit of enhancement You can see the extra depth created by removing the out lip, something necessary to get the look closer to that of the actual door. Cheers, Guy
  6. Is this the residue it leaves behind Pete? I'm working on this door now and looking forward to replicating that gunge πŸ˜„
  7. Thank YOU HOUSTON. Glad YOU're enjoying things so far. It's good practice for a certain model that has sat languishing for far too long. It was the wheel bays that stalled that model but hopefully this will get me back in the swing. I envy those folk who are neat and tidy. It's a skill I've yet to master Thanks for the kind words and encouragement Chris. Glad you like things. There's still a lot to do Is this the beastie you mean Pete?
  8. Hello folks. The foundation has been laid. It's remarkable how cutting tiny bits of plastic takes so much time. Does anyone else's bench look like this? πŸ˜„
  9. Thanks Chris. I hope you've decided to crack the box on your's? Are you going to treat yourself to the two seat version later in the year? I took the plunge. Work has begun (Much) More to follow. Cheers, Guy
  10. That stuff sticks like s*** to a blanket really well. I wonder why those panels were thicker? Returning to the wings I mentioned before that there might be scope to improve the flap wells, particularly since the flaps are not fitted on this airframe. I began by scraping away the thin line of circular details towards the aft edge and recreating it out of metal foil. I then added a false roof to the flap well out of pie tin metal With that done I set about adding heaps of greeblies and plumbing from plastic extrusion, sheet and wire With some paint blobbed on it gives a better representation of the real one. There is more filth and green slime in the starboard side due to the way the aircraft was parked. The port side was in the sun more so stayed marginally drier I imagine. This asymmetrical weathering may be a regular thing going forward. Now I have a decision to make. What to do with the main gear bays before I close up the wings......... Cheers, Guy
  11. Genuinely beguiling. This level of fidelity is a dream. Well done Tony. Rock on
  12. Yeah, but what a spectacular subject she'd make now! ☺️ Come on in, the water's fine. Work continues on the wings. Studying my references I discovered that there is a raised panel on the wing root circled in red below Note also the slightly wonky door at #1 I used plumber's aluminium tape to create the raised panel. I also created the wonky door. The door on the starboard underside is actually open I'm still working on that one.
  13. Have you suspended it with fishing line and used sparklers in the rocket openings yet? πŸ˜„ That's really cool.
