    Kits World decals

I used them on a tornado build. Never again and don't give them your money. As above, they were incredibly thin and my first placement just rolled up = dead. Lessons learned then. Slide it off the paper to where I want it. Final finessing and they tore and rolled (placed on a glossy surface). I've never experienced anything like it. Then the colour and size. It became obvious that they'd scaled up from a smaller scale, failing to checked they'd actually fit the larger scale. Shameful really.
  2. For me it's a GR.1 Harrier on "Aircraft illustrated" weekly magazine from the early 80s (I think) firing all 4 SNEBs with the photo taken from underneath. I'll post it if I find an image.
  3. I hope Nick (NG899) is giving a steer and access to his and the Harrier SiGs reference material. Would be thoroughly ground breaking to include a pilot and/or a ladder..
  4. Sorry T I've just come across this. When I started reading I imagined a banking Jag after lift off with the undercarriage retracting. But I won't mention that() and follow you along.
  5. Wow that's great. A lovely matt finish you've achieved and it looks really well.
  6. Also this one which I found thoroughly watchable.
  7. Which is Extra Dark Sea Grey.
  8. Ah but why is the top grey and the bottom white
  9. I used to overhaul Lynx MRBs' & TRBs' some years ago. They left the bay with a coating of grease on the unpainted leading edge and placed in a clear bag for transit. The grease was removed when the blade was fitted to an aircraft leaving the unpainted finish. There was also weight added on the centre most bolt (cuff bolt) where the blade attaches to the head arm. These were changed or not when the track & balance was done after fitting. The only mods done were the extreme tip. This is the outer most green area at the end of the blade. These could get damaged and so plenty were araldited at squadron level to fill the gaps. The leadings edges were unpainted until towards the inner side of the blade ((near the head) where they were sprayed leaving a taper, as this was now part of the blade construction material. Who knew blades were so complex!.
  10. I had to look in on this, as the main thread page said 3 pages!. What's going on in there then... White or grey (wheres Harry hill - FIGHT!). Originally white perhaps weathered to grey. Or Originally grey with white bays. Colour match to the aircraft your modelling to the reference pics you have available. As mentioned colour definitely changes in shade or light, so if you colour match you can't be wrong - or can you. I'll get my coat.
  11. I drop in once a day and get this verification thingy. Sometimes it asks Mr tick the human box and you allowed in. Then it's service as normal, no great shakes.
  12. I read this morning, they're aiming for the 6th with 7/8th as slip launch days.
  13. A Rowan Atkinson film
  14. You're a good modeller, but you've raised your game on this one and it shows.
  15. I know very little (not even mention worthy) about a Spitfire, but that's a great model.
