The pauper'sTrophy System !!

the so-called Light version, so when they runout of projectiles, for Trophy Light the crew is supposed to Chuck stones at the incoming RPG etc.

CR3 prototype spotted with Trophy active protection system at DSEI.

It's about blooming time that the British army had an anti-missile system fitted to its tanks! Should have had this year ago.

Nope.....Get out of the area if possible, they've done what they could and their tank is now f**ked (to use the technical term).

Systems like Trophy don't just make ATGMs & RPGs vanish in a puff of smoke, they go off with a big bang which is not very good for the sensitive systems plastered all over the tank's exterior, including the active defence system's own radars.....Typically after just a couple of defensive detonations a tank's performance is so degraded that it's an effective mission-kill regardless.

But the crew are still alive & the tank can be fixed.

I’ve seen Jon’s thread on that Twitter. I don’t necessarily agree. Tank-mounted systems are increasingly being hardened, even comparatively frail ones, especially in the last decade. A lot of these systems are already hardened against small arms fire, artillery fragments, & near misses.
