Just finished this Twin Otter, Revell 1/72. The Islander I finished a few years ago, Airfix 1/72.

The airline Vængir operated in Iceland between 1971-1979. Vængir was the only airline to operate the Islander in Iceland (1971) and the first airline in Iceland to operate theTwin Otter (1973)

Decals are home made.

Congratulations. Polo.

Nice!

I have to admit to having a bit of a soft spot for the Islander. Got a few hours in them in Guyana and the Caribbean.

Just brilliant :goodjob: and I am pleased to see that the modeller has made there own decals and now has a unique collection of aircraft for your modelling cabinet.

My congratulations.

Colin.

As a fan of both aircraft, I congratulate you on these builds.

The only detail comment I have is the oleo scissors on an Islander normally point forward (I think) , but possibly that is not a fixed configuration on the aircraft.

No matter, as they are both excellent models and the custom markings are awesome.

:goodjob:
