pabbi Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Just finished this Twin Otter, Revell 1/72. The Islander I finished a few years ago, Airfix 1/72. The airline Vængir operated in Iceland between 1971-1979. Vængir was the only airline to operate the Islander in Iceland (1971) and the first airline in Iceland to operate theTwin Otter (1973) Decals are home made. 28
Alpha Delta 210 Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Lovely pair in an attractive and unfamiliar livery. 1

polo1112 Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Beautiful models, in a pristine looking colour scheme. Congratulations. Polo. 1
Brandy Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Nice! I have to admit to having a bit of a soft spot for the Islander. Got a few hours in them in Guyana and the Caribbean. Ian 1
Colin1967 Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Just brilliant and I am pleased to see that the modeller has made there own decals and now has a unique collection of aircraft for your modelling cabinet. My congratulations. Colin. 1
kapam Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 As a fan of both aircraft, I congratulate you on these builds. The only detail comment I have is the oleo scissors on an Islander normally point forward (I think) , but possibly that is not a fixed configuration on the aircraft. No matter, as they are both excellent models and the custom markings are awesome. 1
pabbi Posted April 23, 2018 Author Posted April 23, 2018 Thanks for the comments guys Thanks kapam for the info on the oleo scissors, will remember it if a make another Islander
