madcat911
I'm on a bit of an armour kick as of late so I'm submitting this for the GB. Started with the running gear and did up a short length of track. Mark Edited June 21, 2016 by madcat911

specky
Nice! - IMHO the best looking of the Leopard 1's I have the Meng version on stand-by for my second build, but only once I've sourced decals appropriate for this GB time period. I'll be dropping by once in a while to see how this is shaping-up - if you don't mind! Craig
madcat911
Tracks completed and attached. The pads were a little fragile and I mangled a few. Luckily the kit had quite a few extra ones. Mark

madcat911
Today being a public holiday, I managed to get quite a bit done on this build. The lower hull was completed and the major pieces of the turret have been assembled. Mark
Col.
You've made excellent progress yesterday Mark Interesting to see the differences in shape between this and the Leopard II also being built in this GB. There was certainly a change in the philosophy of tank design during the 80's
madcat911
Finally some progress after a bit of a hiatus. NATO 3-tone camouflage has been applied. Mark

madcat911
Did the detail painting and gave it a gloss coat which explains why it suddenly looks so dark. The decals which were slightly out of register have been applied so next up and my favourite part, weathering. Mark

madcat911
Did a pin wash today as well as replace the Iron Crosses with items from a 1/48 Eurofighter Typhoon kit. They were a little too big so I had to trim them down to size which was a bit of a pain but it sure beats the out-of-register ones from the kit. Will be doing a filter next. madcat911
Filter and flat coat applied. Technically this build is complete but I'll be mucking it up with enamels and pigments. Mark

madcat911
Looking good. What are you using for the dust effects? I used Europe Dust from Mig Productions' pigment range. It is a really old bottle. Mark
