Dear friends,
Here the reference is another innovation from a traditional Czech manufacturer KP- Kovozávody Prostejov.
It is a model glider SG 38 1/72. The model is made of the best quality 3D-CAD-CAM.
The sale will be immediately in early January.
Another new model, which already is completing KP again in 3D CAD-CAM is Lavochkin La-5,La-5F, La-5FN and Ula-5 two seats version. The sale will be released in February.

Very best regards.

Team KP

Excellent news about the Lavochkins, Petr! I'm currently writing a book about the Lavochkin fighters of the Great Patriotic War.

Regards,

Jason

That's a great looking little Schneider SG 38! It was used as an initial trainer in the Swedish Air Force with the appellation G 101, license manufactured by Kockums Flygindustri in Malmö. I can see this one being snapped up by Sw AF builders!

Incidentally, wouldn't it be neat if you could mould a version in clear plastic? Then the clear doped linen covering could be made very realistic by spraying thin layers of tan paint on the wing and the tail surfaces, after having marked the structure with a dark brown marker pen or similar.

Kind regards,

Joachim

FANTASTIC NEWS :pilot:!!!! I am utmost happy to see that finally some new & excellent La-5FN will be released by new KP company again. To be honest, I have fond memories of the old KP La-5FN. What I liked most about them was the Box and Box-Art. Excellent, even by todays standard illustrations on the package. I think I am not the only one who liked those J.Velc Pictures.... :analintruder: I would be sooo glad if those new KP Kits would continue with high-quality illustrations/paintings. The only Kits able to compete with those are the Hasegawas Illustrations.

Petr, please understand this as positive critics /suggestions. Nothing inspires more than a beautiful box-art. Right? The new BF-109 Box-Arts are nice (colour-schemes on backside are top!) but cant compete with the dynamic pictures once used by former KP.

If I understand you correct, KP is also doing a new Si-204D/Aero C-3A?!! Can you use the old Box-Art?

If so - Thanks so much :yahoo: since that RV-Resin Kit was a huge disappointment to me. Windows placed evenly spaced (which is completely wrong by 3-4 mm in 1/72) and therefore wrong positioned doors plus oversized door engravings. Canopy still having the spacing copied from old KP-Canopy which is not correct either. If someone wanted to correct this almost the whole fuselage needs to be re-engraved including windows, doors, and resulting from this all panel lines. :cold: Then I would rather correct the very few mistakes on the old KP-Kit and use RV-Kit as a part-supplier.

Again Petr thanks for making a childhood-dream come true. :thumbsup2:

I've been wanting to do one of those for a good long while....

"SG-38, Belgian Air Force 1948" ????

Belgian Air Force and later Air Cadets six SG-38 Schulgleiter and single SG-38A Boot were purchased in 1952 and 1955. Furthermore the PL-xx code were allocated to these gliders in the framework of a Belgian military gliding flights reorganization in June 1957!!!
