If you disagree, you can let them know on their Facebook page or if you prefer a 1/48 F11F Tiger, you can let them know that as well. They've also indicated that while the F2H-2 and F2H-3 are still coming, the F2H-2P has also been cancelled. V.P. Texan76
How long till this is released? I've been waiting impatiently. It was supposed to have been released by now. There has never been a good kit of this aircraft. My grandfather was in a squadron the had Banshees in the late 50's, and I can't wait to build it for him. Texan76
Kittyhawk was at the model show this last weekend. I spoke to the rep and inquired about the status of the Banshee. He said the first variant, the F2H-2, will be released by Christmas, with the -3 next year. I hope this holds true. I have been waiting quite a while for this kit. Mike Esposito
The F2H-2P has been cancelled ! I should've figured that would happen. The model companies hate recce aircraft, as they aren't as glamorous or exciting as fighters or bombers. Oh well, one more company to boycott. Larry Don't look like it's cancelled to me.. sharkmouth
Interesting how the company has flip-flopped their decision. Larry, it was nothing nefarious, just working out how to include the nose which they did. It is far better to ask the company directly than assume online. Texan76
I'm glad to see this finally being released, however, a little disappointed that it is not the -3 version. I assume it will follow (hopefully). Kittyhawk, if you're reading this, pretty please do these markings so I can make this kit for my grandpa. VF-52 Sealancers, USS Ticonderoga 1958-1959.
