Julien
No major fit issues with either the kit or aftermarket sets although I made the mistake of blindly following the Xtradecal paint instructions so have managed to get the lower camouflage demarcation line too low! Looks like xtradecal got the markings wrong as well. Never had the Sqn bars on the back, just the code letter and the roundel. This aircraft was written off in Aug 1955 when its oxygen tanks were filled to the incorrect pressure and they blew. They filled them to the pressure used for Hunters not sabres! The image from the RAF Jenver site shows no code next to the cockpit as its down by the roundel and no Sqn bars there. Julien
Tony C
Pictured being recovered to the UK following the air bottle incident, it was this picture that I obtained after I had started putting the decals on, that I realised my mistake with the lower demarcation. Looks like I also forgot the G on the front landing leg doors as well...
Julien
Well stuff me as they say! It's strange as you can't see the G on the left side but pics don't lie and it's on the right. It's the same airframe as you can see the lifting of the front panel forward of the screen. Julien

kiwitrogg
That's a lovely job. You've made a great job of picking out the details in the cockpit, and the airbrake and gun bays. Gaz
