Pocher Mercedes 540K True Roadster Build
Pouln replied to larchiefeng's topic in Work In Progress - Vehicles
Wayne, good progress. Very nice to see the car all lighted up. I like your workshop. I actually envy you a bit. I do have a nice workspace above my garage but the table top is mostly right under the roof taking away a lot of height above the tabletops. All you guys have inspired me such that I have taken up building my Alfa Coupe Elegant. I was not going to fot a few years until I was retired, but then you guys showed me what can be done with these Pochers. So it is all your fault. I am not expecting this first attempt to come out anywhere near what you Codger, Roy and other are showing here, but my skills will progress with time and experience. I have not been building for 35 years or so, started chassis and engine a number of years back, took it now all apart and am redoing them. I will share pictures of the build later. -

I'm stunned with the level of detail you add to this car. I have the kit in my stash and will someday steal, ehhrr use a lot of the techniques you are showing. yes, please, share all of it with us. You can be sure that none of us will be bored.- 723 replies

Mr C., outstanding work (as always). I trust you will redo this several times (not that it is necessary, of course)

Wonderful job. Like the colour and also the weathering. Looks like a really used race car. well done! -
Soap opera? not at all. You mention that you are in love with this old crock. Probably you are afraid of parting from it. Therefore you are finding new tasks all the time. Lol

I think you are being way too harsch for yourself. Judged from the pictures, you did a great job. I like it.

Ferrari 250 GTO 1/8 scratch build
Pouln replied to roymattblack's topic in Work In Progress - Vehicles
Great car, Roy. Thanks for sharing this build with us. I probably will never be able to come close to what you are creating (and how you are creating it), but it is really enjoyable to see how you get this done. -
Jeffrey, I think your problems may be solved if you switch to varifocus glasses (or bi-focus). The correction of your glasses just do no longer work for reading and other work nearby your eyes. Therfore you would need reading glasses with a better suited correction, but then you would have trouble seeing further away. Hence bi- or varifocal glasses should fo the trick.

Codger, true, but you are showing us the real car telling us that it is model.... And what I've seen from John, that is simply unbelievable unreal. Anyway, you all are building a feast for the eyes. Keep going!

This guy better changes his belt immediately. It looks like it can break anytime. There is a lot going on at this side of the engine. great to see all these details, but to duplicate all this in 1/8, would be a bit too much.
