Hah an ex crab id presume ....from what I hear the amature dramatic force has manpower snags too..manpower in the widest sense. As for ships we need to get some first and the spares to support ........old saying doo-doo in = doo-doo out ....this country needs to actually invest in something 😬

Yeah thats more like it ....more expensive too but hey someone will do well out of it....shush politik.

Where did you read that about the full 100+ purchase of F35.....im not convinced or lets say cynical

Well those a/c are now in service with the licenced software and not some cock up to do with penny pinching ...Im paraphrasing a little. Still 14 new ones interesting since 9 of the originals are being ditched...obviously a bigger picture but that will take the total to over 60 not that you will ever get anything like 60 or even 30 serviceable

Masters of the Air - first episode in January 2024
junglierating replied to TheKinksFan's topic in Entertainment Central
So watching ep 4 and the mechanic is adjusting the points gap whilst the a/c is taxing with 3 engines running....ok could believe that ...unlikely but I will go with. it but what got me was the mechanic is up in the wheel well and the pilot is shouting out the cockpit window like its over thE fence (with no engines running) ...this production cost a packet and I dont know who is advising them but really? ....maybe the director has ignored the military/tech advice....still worth a watch but sometimes 🤪 -
I agree but I feel there is a need for manned recce also .....if you have a clever opposition who can jam your control signal between the RPAS /UAV/drone and the ground its kinda game over ...whilst the sloppy link is in charge of flying you may still fulfill the mission. However small porthole bigger picture as they say.

So yep just watched ep 3 and its alright im not grinding my teeth...sure there are something that might wind some people up but its not just for us geeks its for entertainment and who knows it might produce some new geeks 😄 In fact the only bit that I could moan about is the depiction of the crabs as complete chinless wonders ...i mean I know their reason for being is to rate five star hotels but thats for the senior service to take the mick ....not the J Arthurs 🤣 -

Hmm good point there is going to be a second series I believe only ...and excuse my ignorance didn't the B24s fly from Italy so were they still part of the 100 bomb group...I don't know so don't anyone get antsy about it. -
Hi ....before I get told off I apologise 🤣 So there is a new shop (yes a shop opening not closing) in Wincanton Somerset UK that has opened well stocked tanks aircraft ...probably floaty things but I havent noticed..yet. Plenty of support equipment paint blah etc. Good friendly advice....the man has a you tube channel .....theres a clue there 🤔 Personally I shamefully have only bought bits and bobs so far...but must try harder...v competitive prices. Where do I put this info and can I mention the name. TVM

I think some people need a plumber...lot of people dripping ...I watching the first one and yeah you have a pop at this and that but seems ok to me sure you could moan about the acting but they seem like J Arthurs to me. Try not to think of the negatives and enjoy the positives.Although I dunno how many B17 are around but the scene on the recovery from the first sortie seemed a little empty ....I guess they have achieved the best they can and it get a 👍 up from me. Meanwhile...the hot poop there will be a prog on ch4/5 about the FAA and they have interviewed a load of aircrew maintainers and other trades including yours truely so that will be an absolutely hoofin programme to watch 😆 -
Have I missed something but AMRAAM is American made ???

Interesting AV O...Germans provide training....wonder if that is via Heliops Portland Dorset who provide training for German Sea King operators ....ah the murky world of contracts 😆

BZ to you ,I think it looks hoofin. TBH I have not had a good experience with this kit its been on the shelf of doom so many times and frankly it is more trouble than the real beast of which im intimate with ( not in the biblical sense)🙄 Just one thing I think but it is difficult to assess from the phots but you have an extra pair of AR57 Sensors fitted. You seem to have 6 (actually 7 ....one is moulded on the underside) as opposed to 5. The two at the rear of the cabin 290 frame or aft of the cabin door to you were replaced by a pair on the underside of the tail boom at the rear....along with the extra number 5 under the fuselage...this was all to do with giving greater sensor coverage against IR seeking missiles ....I could go on but it all gets a bit naughty so I wont. Mine will be up soon as a more basic 772 nas variety
