  1. Like the idea with the blue stuff. I tried Composimold which is similar but it reacted very badly with Smooth-On resin. I have lots of composimold I can't get rid of now. The YC-97 will be neat to see.
  2. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235000773-172-xf8u-1-crusaders-138899-and-138900-done/#entry2325484 It's easier for me to put the link in than resubmit the photos again. There's a second link in the description for the other F-8s and the WIPs of them. This is a cool page with great inspiration
  3. Cool, a page for showcasing the stovepipes.
  4. Thanks, where's that?
  5. Definitely one way to make it. I made the early ones to https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235000773-172-xf8u-1-crusaders-138899-and-138900-done/#entry2325484 There are links in it for the WIP. I still have a few more to make. I look forward to see how your turns out.
  6. I just found out about this and found a site for the council, cornwall.gov.uk maybe give them an email. I did and I can't get over there.
  7. Are these ever in the open position in flight? or just on take off? I have two Revell D models that need rebuilds and want to put them in flight and use the landing gear parts for an older A model that needs a landing gear. The kit's afterburners are fully opened, I guess you could cut the pieces and close them, but they overlap each other I think.
  8. Phabulous, looks ready phor phight.
  9. The Reaper was in international airspace. it was shown on Flightrader.
  10. Maybe try using warm water on the fuse. I ran hoods under warm to hot water, then twisted it and right away run under cold water. Might take a couple of trys and some burnt fingers. I'd try that before cutting it.
  11. My Super Crusader was a real good kit. All I did was open the side gills and changed the nose wheel to a fatter looking one.
  12. Hi to another new one. if your trying to search for something on here, the search thing is useless. Do an internet search of anything and add britmodeller to it. Just to help you along.
  13. One thing I do is scuff the areas to be glued with any coarse sandpaper or knife just to give the glue something to bite on. Superglues etc don't penetrate the surface. I faintly remember seeing car/trucks like this long ago. Sadly there are no more in Canada unless someone has one tucked away. I think they don't allow them here either anymore. Any useful vehicle is not allowed here. I was looking for an actual one of of any type years ago but ended up with a Dodge half ton. Not complaning about the Dodge at all but wanted something smaller.
  14. @Tailspin Turtle on here is a great source of all ocean going aluminum origami birds. He's helped out a lot with reference.
  15. Have to love when printers refuse to talk to other devices.
  16. I think the wood looks good, never seen a DC-3 with wood inside, but I also haven't very many DC-3s. It might almost seem like going backwards or retro with the wood in such a new airliner.
