  1. The artwork was one of a series created by artist Roy Grinnell illustrating a sales brochure for the Martin Bullpup. Other types similarly illustrated being RAAF. Canberra, German Fiat G.91, Belgian F-104G, French Super Mystere, etc.
  2. Fairey FD.2, WG777 ('Aircraft Blue' & natural metal finish) & EE. P.1, WG763, HM. Queen visit to RAF. Leuchars, 4 June 1957 https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1BC7MvnRDJ/
  3. P.1233 SABA. has been retweaked and awaiting casting (i have produced a batch of propfans for them when ready tho)
  4. Most recent production items are a bit out of the ordinary for me, to approx 72 scale, a 'Trimaxion Drone ship' from 'Flight of the Navigator', and the 'Hobbs End Underground' Martian ship from the 1967 Hammer Films, 'Quatermass and the Pit' www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.937988604988945&type=3 www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.937988091655663&type=3 as seemingly my norm, production will be limited to a dozen or so castings next up i will try get some Hawker P.1127's castings produced as well as a further batch of Gunston ASTOVL. www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.389801236474354&type=3 www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.634843507291935&type=3 best wishes, Joe
  5. apologies for being off topic, Akatombo, Dujin, and Replica did the Grognard in 1/72 and Fonderia an example in 1/48 cheers, Joe
  6. RT133 and RT136 were allocated to Miles for the M.52 project, two airframes were initially ordered under E.24/43 with a third and possible 4th airframe mooted 14 January 1944 ? ... ref. Miles M.52, Tony Buttler, Crecy Publishing, 2016 This would make sense re the gap RT133 - RT136, with RT134 and RT135 being either structural test airframes or additional prototypes as noted above (i have seen both being mooted) www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1193480962163611&set=p.1193480962163611&type=3 There is a question over a suitable colour scheme ? now there's a quandary ? ... overall silver painted finish as per Miles's full scale mockup or overall yellow as per Miles own M.36 Martinet and M.39 Libellula prototypes (the former with black 'P' marking, as was the prototype Mosquito TT.39) or perhaps overall polished metal ? or even black lower and yellow uppers as per the Vickers TRA. rocket vehicles ? re. U52, I have seen manufacturers display models where the 'Class B' letter allocation (or later G-number-) is followed by the project number. The application seems to vary enormously between manufacturer, with a dot, hyphen or nothing between being applied (i recall reading the formal application was for a dot after the letter prefix ? there was probably a recommended size noted too but i'd have to check my references) with relation to the Miles M.52, I'm thinking most of us will finish the model as RT133 or RT136 the 'B marking' would perhaps make sense on a possible mockup or display model ? cheers, Joe
  7. Really looking forward to this one, looks really good from the test print images posted above. i was lucky enough to see a sneaky preview of the box artwork and decal options profiles, very nice im thinking (hoping) that means availability is imminent or within weeks ? cheers, Joe
  8. Hi there, still producing new models on an ad hoc basis (i enjoy creating masters and making moulds, its the casting i dont have time for) most recent releases are a FICTIONAL Supermarine Scarab ('cabin Spitfire) and Gunston ASTOVL. (based upon the old 'Warplanes of the Future' artwork) Other items still available are the ever growing 'spaceplanes' range, most recent one there is a Rolls-Royce design based upon OR.9001, to be followed soon by the BAe. MRC. and BIS. Megaroc. any enquiries i can be contacted through pm. or through the Facebook page cheers, Joe
  9. received the kit from Alistair at Aerocraft. First impressions ... waw, this may well be a game changer for this type of model with regards detail and buildability. the surfaces are smooth with nicely recessed panel detail I will document my build as i go and post it up on a build thread cheers, Joe
  10. received the kit from Alistair at Aerocraft. First impressions ... waw, this may well be a game changer for this type of model with regards detail and buildability. TSR.2 Research Group https://www.facebook.com/media/set?set=oa.529536945256583&type=3 cheers, Joe
  11. A stunning new release from Alistair at Aerocraft Models ... https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=873692274756402&id=100063469116534 build by 'Gondor44' ...
  12. I really should get to finishing my own 72 scale model of 'annie', again vacform fuselage halves split horizontally https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17BZPPPgkD/
  13. Ferranti Sea Fury T.20, VX301 is noted as being overall black with orange cowling and leading edges. I recall an image published in an old (1970's) IPMS. Magazine photopage il try dig it out
  14. ... and they still haven't improved after a couple of decades of modellers frustrations since Igor's first releases, i really really really should know better Just took delivery of a couple via Hannants, completely unusable (moulds are definitely scrap) and moulded in what looks like honeycomb candy (or moisture contaminated resin) with vague shapes and anything small only of use for reference Ah well gives me a renewed incentive to scratchbuilt instead, any modeller could achieve better with a couple hours tinkering with a block of tooling resin and some styrene
  15. nit picking, as I'm as happy as everyone else for a new Buccaneer kit, comparing the old and new kits (no comparison really) the wing fences on the older kit actually show a more accurate shape and are thinner than the rectangular blocks moulded on the recent kit. theres a prominent NACA intake missing on the upper engine shoulders too, the under surface has it depicted accurately (easily added with a scriber and scalpel) theres a few 'odd' raised panels which would benefit from paring down in thickness too to match photos, eg inner wing and just fwd of the airbrakes
