1:72 Westland Whirlwind

Recommended Posts

Right, first I did the 'interior green' bits this is more than what I did as a kid!

Oh dear this is hard at 1:72 and with the brushed provided, and no flesh colour. No wonder I never painted pilots!

This was my second ever model (of the new era - ie two months ago). A nice little kit I thought. The only thing I didn't like was having to cut the landing gear doors in half to have the gear down. Not easy to do with a knife!

Well she's done and I guess when I was seven I would have been rightly chuffed.

I've not used anything I wouldn't have when I was seven.

I think these kits are great for kid, but I found myself becoming very frustrated in not being able to get a nice finish with the paint, plus 1:72 is not really my scale when it comes to WW2 fighters.

However this was an enjoyable exercise, but i won't be showing visitors this part of my collection.
