Col.
First time I've seen the sprues from this kit Martin. Not my normal subject genre but will watch your progress. Have you selected a scheme for it yet.
SaintsPhil
Same here really not my usual choice of subject but something about this aircraft intrigues me! Maybe it's all the things hanging from the wings... I'll be watching! Phil

Have you selected a scheme for it yet. I've decided to go with the box options with this, like others trying to keep the cost down due to being on the list of job seekers and trying to keep my hobby alive. robw_uk
very nice... on the look out for one of these for a proposed GB (plus it fits my USN theme)... think this may be too large for my collection tho
Radleigh
I have a Tamiya Skyraider and will start it in the not to far future, one of my favourite aircraft. Good luck with the build.
SUNDON
I've made a little progress over the last couple of days. The Edaurd PE has been added and the cockpit painted. A light oil wash has been applied to dirty it up a bit. The two fuselage halves are ready to be closed up. Next step in the instructions call for the engine to be assembled. SUNDON
More progress over the weekend built up the engine . Closed up the fuselage . And built the wings. I'm not to keen about having the bay doors attached at this stage of the build but you can't have every thing your own way. One thing I'm quite suprised about is that Tamiya have missed a antenna attachment from this kit so some thing will have to be made up. The artist for the box painting didn't miss it out. oggy4624
This kit is so well designed ( perfect fuselage / wing fit - virtually no sanding or filler) and I had Tamiya spray cans, I was able to throw one together in an evening. A real gem of a kit and is really nice when tooled up with the INCLUDED weapons.

omegaman
Looking good. The kit as a whole is great and the wing join is superb. The only issue I have found with mine is that the inner top wing join isnt the best but this is hidden by the flaps anyway. Thsi might have been made apparent by my chopping of the wings however. As a whole though mine is also flying together like yours. I think I might build another one from the box one day in the navy colours. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to the finished article! SUNDON
Made some good progress this week. First some preshading. And then on with some colour. Going to apply a coat of Klear next and then on with the markings. Martin Edited October 16, 2011 by SUNDON
SUNDON
I'm getting close with this build. Not much else to do , just a coat of matt before I compleat the assembly and some final weathering. Martin
