Jon Freeman
Hi All. Can anyone give me some dimensions of the Insignia Sizes of Royal Saudi Air Force Tornado IDS variants? The fin 'flash', 'Royal Saudi Air Force' titlings on the nose, roundels and the RSAF's on the upper and lowerwings? TIA Jon BTW has anyone got a decent scan of 75 Sqn badge seen on the fins of the current RSAF Tornados?
scotthldr
Not really answering your question, but why are you needing the sizes? Are you printing you own decals? You can get decals for RSAF Tonkas in 1/72 and 1/48 amd I'm pretty sure 1/32 as well.

Well John is part of a decal company so I would gather they are looking for refs to get the sizes right unless he has something else up his sleeve!! Pete in Lincs
Jon, I'm in Riyadh so can't really help on this but, There's a Britmodeller regular called Barovian over at Dharan who should be able to help. Have a trawl through the columns until you find him, though he's not been on here for a while. All the best Pete

Richard E
Would Tom Sunley's (Takamota) pictures from their deployment to Lossiemouth last year be any help, I think he posted quite a few on the board at the time if they're still available? Jon Freeman
Hello All. Thanks for looking everyone, I'm 99% certain the roundels were 18 inches in diameter and the rest of the markings haven been sized up from photos. I'm now trying to find out what the Italian AF IDS marking 'Fragile Area Keep Off looks and spells like "LA ZONA FRAGILE LASCIA STARE" perhaps? But what colour Red or Yellow on a black panel? Thanks again chaps! Jon
