Maddoxx77
Great build. I've started the same Krupp just today so it's nice to see some pictures of the build process. Mine won't get a quad AA gun on the back so it's quite boring 😉 I'll follow along to see what you make of it.
Peter2
Just now I entered "protze flakvierling" into Google and after scrolling through about 30-plus images which appeared, I found a wartime photo of a Protze carrying a three barrelled gun (possibly a MG 151/20 but I'm not an expert) at approximately the position on the flatbed of robw_uk's what-if kitbash, at this link: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/11/86/65/1186658e45785528be989e2b04c44024.jpg So multiple barrelled weapons were feasible on the Protze. Mig Eater
That's the MG151 in the "Drilling" mount, the MG151 was originally designed for use in fighter planes, later in the war the Luftwaffe started to replace the MG151 with newer larger guns leaving a large surplus of MG151s available. Many of the guns were then repurposed for ground use and the MG151's light wight and low recoil design meant that they could be fitted to just about anything, here is a truck fitted with two of them etc.
