IPMS19
-There is a photo of camouflaged Bort 37 taken from 3 quarter front showing they are much smaller and another one from right above which seems to be unvisible but othing very conclusiv so I install them as you did. The only trusty answer could be found contacting Stenka PETKOV of CWS if ever.
Marlin
Yes I found those pictures. But I think we can relay on the fact that CWS and Stenka has done their homework. 👍 /Bosse
Lord Riot
Impressive stuff! You could probably have bought a real one from the Russian Govt for what you must have spent on aftermarket bits! 😂

Hook
Great progress! I am eagerly awaiting ICM 's promised 1/72nd MiG-25BM. I need at least three - Soviet grey, Soviet camo and Iraqi grey. Cheers, Andre
Marlin
Thanks Andre. I'm going to need more space. I've got three of these beast now, BM, PDS and RBF. And I think I'm stupid enough to buy atleast one RB to the collection. But I have no idea on where to put them all. /Bosse

Marlin
Hi. While the putty hardens and preparing the kit for primer I thought it was about time to start on the ordnance. This is all resin and PE stuff. 093 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I got the pylons and rails free from the casting blocks yesterday. 094 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Nice casting done by Cold War Studios. Hook
Looking good. She'll have a full load of four Kh-58U's, I gather? Cheers, Andre
Marlin
Thanks Andre. Yes a full load is planned. /Bosse
IPMS19
- Be carefull adapting all those fins to the shape of the missile's body ,they are very thin hence their gluing surface. At some moment I've contemplated replacing them by scratch made plasticard.

When ICM release their 1/72 version, I will build one in an "I believe in overkill" mode with four Kilters and four bombs under the belly, since the BM retained the bombing capability of the recce / strike model it was derived from. Marlin
@IPMS19 - Thanks for the heads up. I'll try and be as careful I can when i come to that stage. 👍 @Hook - That'll sure be something to see. /Bosse
Marlin
Hi. A very boring part is done. I've puttied, sanded, polished and checked all seams, and primed the whole fuselage. 095 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 096 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Rather big isn't it? The CWS set comes with a set of masks for all the dielectrical panels. So this time I'll start to paint them first and then mask them. After that I'll do the MiG-25/31 grey. Thankfully I have some more bottles of it, the one I bought for the MiG-31 will not be enough for this one as well. Marlin
Thanks Andre. I wasn't refering to MiG-25 as such. I was refering to the teadious task of fixing seams. /Bosse
Marlin
Hi, I've now come to the masking and painting stage on my MiG-25 097 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And when the paint dries, I've got the pylons and missiles to attend to. 099 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr The BM version has it's own set of pylons, and they have "horns" on the side. The "horns" comes as PE parts that's folded into a box shape. 098 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr The pylonns with some PE parts. 100 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And with the horns on. 101 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Well on three of them. I lost one to the Carpet Monster. So I'll be one short, if I can't find it before the build is finished. The missiles and the 32 fins takes it time to clean up. 102 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I've done missile so far. 103 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr To be continued..... /Bosse
exdraken
nice! good work on the PE and missiles how do you treat the PE? thanks!
Marlin
Thanks Werner. I don't do anything special with the PE besides bend and paint it. /Bosse
Marlin
Hi. Just a quick update. Two evenings work, and just a single picture to show. 104 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr All four Kh-58U missiles are ready for primer. Marlin
Hi. In small steps each evening I manage to do some work on my MiG-25. Yesterday I primed the Kh-58 missiles. 105 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And I'm almost done with the top side of the painting. 106 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Almost all of the grey colours are done, and it's soon time to flip it over and do the bare metal parts on the belly of the beast. To be continued..... /Bosse
