Bozothenutter
That is the beauty of an RSU.....it heats up very locally and very quickly!
Bozothenutter
more insanity done yesterday...... hand cut and filed, only 35 to go! but I found this thread: needs to be a bit narrower, looks good though....for something never to be seen again people have asked me "why detail parts that won't be seen?" BECAUSE I CAN, is the short version. I really like working on these small bits, and hopefully i'll have a bunch of superdetailed small bits that will actually come together for a superdetailed model.(I have a REAL problem finishing stuff) The idea is the add a cheap photodisplay showing off bits of the build in a loop.

Bozothenutter
Decided to cheat a bit, gonna get the Meng interior set to steal parts from.... Hull ammo racks is the most important bit, or did anybody do a PE set for the Meng?
Bozothenutter
Tiniest of updates.... a Kind soul (or the devil himself?) provided me with the lockstraps used on the wheel and sprocket bolts.... next to it are the modified and unmodified kit final drive... Bozothenutter
Got my MENG interior kit. (the Porsche set, the henschel set is sold out everywhere) some useful stuff in there, but also some strange dicisions on how to split parts. most imprtantly, the ammo racks look good and have the ammo seperate. Not really! It is just that with Liejon Schoot's build, the KT restoration at Full, and allllllll the books, I can't help myself! (Bit of context I was diagnosed with adhd and mild autism last year at 48 years of age....that explained a LOT of things. For modelling I've decided to embrace and enjoy it, I'm more of a journey than a destination person 😉)
Hewy
God Lord this one's going to town, and it looks like its going with the kitchen sink, it'll be a long haul I reckon, but it's sure to be mightily impressive

Silenoz
stunner, you do know that the castle-nuts need an axle through the openings to lock the nut? 😉
Bozothenutter
Small update....trying to get focussed on one part, right hand side hull wall... Where I am so far.... Gas mask tube holder Clamp for spare barrel holder Said (sad?) Barrel holder Getting the rhs fuel tank right, not there yet..... Rhs rear lower tank is the wrong shape...
BlackMax12
Are you going to leave the tracks off and the hull roof open to show this exquisite detail? Maybe show it as on the assembly line without all of the obscuring items in place. It's looking great so far no matter how you decide to display it. Bozothenutter
It will be displayed like Liejon Schoot's 1/16 build. So hull roof and turret roof off. Rear lower tanks will never be seen again, but i'll think of something....
Bozothenutter
Version three of the lower rhs tank, decided that a cut'n'shut would look best .....and yes all fuel lines will be present too!

Bozothenutter
Still plugging away at the interior, getting lost in the details and solving the problem of replicating them..... Work on the RO backrest: Last pic shows the bolt is too big, going to replace with PE if I can find the right size (0.35-0.4) The washers were provided by a friend who feeds my obsession....😋
