It took the Japanese postal service three days to reach the UK? Amazing! I'm still waiting for my postal service to give me the decal sheet I ordered from Barracuda in December of last year 😠

Thing with three engines? Oi No!! Re the saw , practice with very gentle strokes and virtually no pressure. Remember to line it up with part edges and for tiny things once lined up, three or four backwards only strokes often does the job. Have fun!! 1
06/24
Thank you Obi Wan Anil I shall practice on the Dak undercart which includes a variety of stupidly small bits
06/24
Stickers. Largely urged to conformity using a mixture of the hot water technique and dilute Clear, as espoused by m'learned colleagues @azureglo and @stevehnz. Leaving this side to set before I tackle the other - the big hinges around the door are causing some concern, so leaving well alone for a bit. First time I've used Avalon decals and they have so far performed impeccably. Strewth, its got two engines, no guns, some runt flying it and now you've got to buy fashion footwear for it? Oy! Seriously Citadel Abbadon black (formerly Chaos black) is brill for this stuff, if used as shown on t'web, it leaves no brush strokes, the car folk love this stuff from what I see in the Airfix mag. Used it for walkways etc when I can be bothered to get the airbrush out, responds to masking brilliantly as well

06/24
Thank you. Further boiling water and microsol this morning seems to have (mostly) successfully dealt with the door hinges, and the stickers have had a protective coat of clear which is now drying before I tackle the other side later on. I now have an enforced break while I install a new letterbox after a delivery driver ripped the letterplate off ours on Friday. As he was delivering one or other of my modelling parcels I can’t really complain about having to fix it!
06/24
Stickers finished and flat coat drying in the airing cupboard. Photos later if it’s not gone milky or rubbish! Nervous!
06/24
PS I ummed and ahhed about flat or satin, and may yet change my mind once I see it dry.

06/24
Thanks Stuart. I've really enjoyed this. Like any of my builds it has its flaws (cockpit windows are the main one) but I'm happy so far.
