Just checking, there is actually a rugby match being shown tonight after all the prancing about on stage ?

No need for defence, we're all happy to hear the inside scoop.

My Welsh adventure holiday reached Cardiff, so a visit to Antics was in order. Great & interesting selection on display , friendly chatty proprietor, I was very restrained and limited myself to a 1:72 Academy F-15C MSIP 2. It would have been rude not to

Not quite Maiden, but watched "Scream for me Sarajevo" at the weekend. A real eye-opener. Most of the 90s, Bosnia was just a place on the news. This brought home just what was going on , on the ground. And in the middle of all that, someone says "let's ask Bruce Dickenson if he wants to come and do a concert"....... which he does !!

My verdict ? Overly-long yawn-fest. I wanted to like this film. Liked the original a lot. But.... the bits of the film I wasn't jumping up and down on my seat yelling at them to "get on with it !!!!", I was left thinking "oh yeah, this is just repeating that bit from the original". Can't quite put my finger on it, but the magic was missing.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny: June 30th 23

It was enjoyable enough, in an "I'll probably buy the blu ray, but only watch it a couple of times" fashion. Similar to Crystal Skulls in that regard, I guess. All I know for sure is... none of the sequels hold a candle to "Raiders"..... -

Would that be satisfaction via the time-honoured tradition of duelling with F-18s at dawn ? -
If you're after a shark-filled Big Dumb Action Movie, then it delivers... in spades. Giant sharks ? Check (x4. Plus bonus giant octopus and dinosaurs) Action hero ? Check Ridiculously over-the-top set pieces ? Check Complete misunderstanding of physics ? Check Cheesey dialogue ? Check Leave your brain at the door and enjoy the ride. All you need to swim at 29000 feet without being crushed like a wallnut is a deviated septum ? Who knew..... ?

Everyone wants to build a 1:48 Vulcan, but for it to fit in 1:144 shelf space once built......

Ah, gliding, remember it well.... there I was, a spotty 17 yo Air Cadet, thinking I'd done well landing the thing, when the instructor starts yelling "STEER AWAY FROM THE FUEL DUMP !!"

Been using AVG (free) for decades - sure, its not got as many bells and whistles as the paid-for software, but it does the job and can't complain about the price - especially when there's a lot of PCs to consider.

.... or even a "cunning plane" ?

Having walked round the Frank Whittle exhibit of the Midlands Aircraft Museum today, I can say with absolute authority...... Frank Whittle looked a lot like Captain Blackadder
