  1. I use a chap called Dodgers Decals, he is on Facebook Dodgersdecals man’s he does white printed decals and works off pictures and basic dimensions
  2. Cannock Fire station has a unimog on active service, slightly facelifted cab with an anglico body on a 2011 plate. think Staffs have a few so would be a good conversion if you want a British appliance
  3. I do but there is no more and he wont cast them
  4. Only military stuff in that scale, some modern stuff in 1:32
  5. I’ve been cracking on sloooooowly with this build. Body is now almost ready to prime, chassis is in place, needs propshafts, plumbing and detail and the cab interior needs a steering column building as I’ve lost the one in the kit 😫 It’s looking like the king of the road it would have been back in it’s day 👍
  6. Originally a one day show held at the Rugby BP truck stop. The show is now run by Ashley and a few helpers, it is run alongside the CVRTC show over the same weekend at Gaydon
  7. These 1:24 tractors look fantastic, hope they will do some of the trailers and other bits in this scale also. Must get my hands on one or two
  8. It’s a truck model show at a truck show run by truck models who decided they wanted a show and organised and run it. You can show cars etc at the show. There isn’t enough space TBH and not everyone can get a table as there is lots of truck modellers from the U.K. and beyond who want to attend. Nothing stopping someone else from setting up a show like they did back in the 90’s 👍
  9. Some went onto civilian airfields and painted in fuel company colours
  10. A 4 wheel bond bug… https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=687687906693998&id=100063583839790&set=a.540890521373738
  11. A nice build, the chassis and bustle would have been Leyland Atlantean, with Duple the body builder 👍 all Atlanteans had the same engine cover
  12. I’ve been sloooooowly working on this, I’m going away next week and putting off starting a couple of commission builds till I get back so work on this has crawled along slightly. firstly, the rear drive bogie, I’m not 100% sure this lorry was a double drive, may have been a single drive but I imagine as a steel hauler would need the heavier double drive 🤔 The chassis and wheels are the same colour so I’ve glued the period correct ‘split rim’ wheels in place, this helps as I can add the tyres easy to mock stuff up easier 👍 some MENG bolt heads have been added to the chassis, will need air tanks and plumbing next 😫 not my favourite part of any build but being an older lorry there isn’t the amount in a modern Scania 🤔 The body has gained a headboard, I got some wooden sticks from work, glued either side of some plastic are with evergreen channel surround. I’ve liberally bashed the inside so it looks like some steel tube and sections have made contact with the wood. I will use the drop sides from an Italeri Opel Blitz, I have one side and have a kit on order to give me the 4 long side sections I need.
  13. Came out very well 👌 I have one ready to build, will have to start it soon as I’ve seen a photo of the lorry I want to build now 😎
  14. @APA watching this fab build, got one in the stash to ‘civilian-ise’ did you use the kit wheels in the end?
  15. Just read this build, looks fantastic. I was looking at these kits on Jadlam but resisted the urge to hit buy me. Oops, just hit buy 🤣
  16. Having just built the tipper version of this kit…. well done 👍 it’s not an easy kit to glue together
  17. I brought a few rare AEC MkV cabs in 1:24 scale a few years ago and with one I made this, Wanting to do another build with another one of the cabs I stashed I started this build last year, and it stalled. Gaydon model show gave me the kick to drag it out of a box and crack on again! this is how it was sat, it had a pair of modellers resource front axles and springs, with the back suspension made from parts I had laying about. I brought some correct sprung suspension, worm drive axles, hubs and period correct wheels. I removed the back bogie and replaced it with the new correct parts and got it on its wheels body will be a drop side, and it’s placed on in the picture. Livery, after lots of thought….. Britin Ferry Steel 👌
  18. Hi, Is the Revell 787 and A350 the same kits as the Zvezda ones? Or has Revell done there own?
  19. They look nice, and looking at there web page and Facebook they have some interesting stuff available and coming along
  20. Nice builds, love the look of the lorry, I’m not a fan of shiny trucks unless it’s a show motor.
  21. Nice, I brought the normal tipper version at the weekend and it’s a stunning kit.
  22. Won a second in Plant and heavy haulage at Gaydon model truck show this weekend 👍
  23. Gaydon truck model festival and the DAF is a winner! second in the DAF class 👌
  24. Well, Gaydon Truck model festival this weekend and the Fuso…. 3rd place in other makes category 😎
  25. Don’t think this is period correct with the modern coiled susies
