  1. Hello, Probably asked many times before and have trawled through the threads. I'm looking for a recommendation for the best airbrush ready or near enough primer for a 0.35 needle. I have been using Ultimate Primer for some time as it was rated for my size needle and above. Worked fine up until last few months when every time I used it (even thinning), it did not want to spray out. The airbrush was not clogged. I noticed now that it states to have a 0.5 needle now. I thought it was maybe because the bottle was a few years old now and my Vallejo Surface Primer is doing the same. Before I buy new bottles, I wanted to check if there are others available. I was looking at SMS Paints surface primer as their range is airbrush ready but want to make sure first. Cheers Dave

    Gold paint

Hi all, I'm looking for a match for PlastiKote Metallic Gold spray paint in touch up/pot form. PlastiKote do a pot of gold leaf but I think its a different shade. Any info would be great. Cheers Dave
  3. I'll be bringing my mate along. The only problem is that he only has one leg and does need a disabled space close to the building. I know it gets busy and most of the time I have to use the field next door for parking, but is there a way just to reserve a space or just have to be there early? Dave
  4. I managed to find the old eBay listing and saw the pictures with the modification. It is definitely a "What If", and looking like some sort of big fuel/water tank. Bit ambitious as I don't think that the aircraft would be able to sit on it's undercarriage and just sit on its belly.
  5. Thanks guys, I'm hoping to keep both parts but the fuselage is going to modified anyway but hopefully that the outcome will be ok with a scriber.
  6. Hi, Whats the best way on cutting out this wheel well that's already part of the moulded fuselage? IMG_3923[1] by ravodavo, on Flickr IMG_3924[1] by ravodavo, on Flickr
  7. Quality built! I've got 3 to do.
  8. Conversion kit arrived yesterday and looks it can. Got a GWH Valiant on order, so hopefully will try it out.
  9. Very nice. I've built 2 and was challenging at time.

  11. @scotrig The decals came with the conversion kit. Just checked on Hannants and noticed that they are re-release item and doesn't say it comes with decals, so it looks like they have stopped them.
  12. I used the Freightdog Victor B2 conversion for the bomb bay - I'm not too sure if still available. If you can get hold of one, you might be able to modify the Flightpath Vulcan B1 conversion tailcone or the Airfix Valiant one. Here the photo of the tailcone. and the B1 I did but didn't need the normal tailcone. thumbnail_IMG_2964 by ravodavo, on Flickr thumbnail_IMG_2965 by ravodavo, on Flickr
  13. That'll be the tail cone for Orange Putter. I bought a built B1 off ebay over 10 years ago that has this tail cone but I don't know it was converted. I'll get a picture of it later. Dave
  14. A good book to get for loads of info on XA552 is Aircraft Engine Test Beds by Tony Buttler.
