Oh on the Type 31 they deleted the fwd bay opening on the port side for the midships equipment bay, so its 2 to starboard and one to port, if you look at the photos of Venturer and Active. There is a chinese resin and etch kit by EV models of the Type 31, however it has both bays on each side, and sadly they did them identical on each side so has the rear port side bay opposit to the starboard and didnt factor in that wher the portside funnel truncking would be !!. The portside Bay is further aft alongside to the Hanger like a Type 45.

Other points of note are the port fwd Phalanix is not included and they are standard phalanx rather than mod 1 with the additional sensors. the deck vehicles are spurious and do not represent modern RN deck vehicles. The Merlins like their Type 23 version is overscale and measures out to 1/600 rather than 1/700. Steps are missing from the kit and the etch so left with floating platforms with no access ! With the flight deck pre-printed, the deck markings are not included on decal sheet So options there for the aftermarket crew to complete the kit.

As on display on the Pocketbond stand at SMW 2025, once the 1/144 Thunderbird 2 went on display most people didnt notice the cabinets on the back wall

No they already do the F-35 in the Quickbuild range, the new F-35B will be like the Hawk, Spitfire Vc, Sherman Firefly & Tiger kits, as a more simple kit for begineers. Thatswhy many of the Airfix 72nd fans were rather disappointed as they had opted not to release a more detailed kit for the more experienced modeller. It will end up as a slap together kit t be used in the background of a CVF flight deck diorama whilst a more detailed Academy kit is used as the centrepiece focal model

Disappointed to see just a rerelease of the Merlin TTI Italian Navy Utility aircraft. The CSAR Italian Ceaser variant appeers to have been dropped without releases. Still no attempt to do Italian Navy ASW or AEW variant and missed oppertunity to do the Ryal Navy Crows Nest with a possible ASW re-issue or the HC4 Commado variant both of which would go nicely with thier F-35B kit
