seanrgb Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Well couldn't resist it ..so I bought a Fujimi Ferrari 330 kit Soon as Hiroboy deliver it I'll post some pictures
Obi-Jiff Kenobi Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Top choice Sean, the 330P4 is easily the most beautiful sports racing car EVER. And if anyone disagrees,
seanrgb Posted March 22, 2008 Author Posted March 22, 2008 Yep got to agree Skii and I were looking at one of these kits at the Expo.. I think it was 15 quid and a Hasewaga kit Wen't back to buy it the next day it had gone So got one off Hiroboy
Smiffy Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Ahhh, that was the Ferrari you were talking about at the show. Very nice choice, sah. Weren't you after a GT40 as well?. Graham at Relish has some in stock. Linky.

PHIL B Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Nice one Sean, You obviously know a drop-dead gorgeous car when you see one. I have a couple of Fujimi kits and a couple of old Union/Heller ones with full engine and rear suspension. One day, one day... BTW, anyone know why Fujimi never made a 330P4 Spyder from their kit? THATS the best looking car ever right Jeff? Some sprues are marked P4 Berlinetta and some just P4. Clearly they allowed for the common parts but the Spyder never happened. Who do I have to see about this one? Phil
Obi-Jiff Kenobi Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Well, the P4 is the best looking car, the P4 Spyder is the best looking version of it. As for the lack of a Fujimi Spyder, we can only hope that one day they see the light. In the meantime, there's an all-resin Spyder available - in 1/12. You don't want to know the price...

Hmm, 1/12th P4 Spyder vs a house to put it in... Hey, at least I had to think about it! Phil.
seanrgb Posted March 26, 2008 Author Posted March 26, 2008 Right then Drool Ok now you can worship me
tjn Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Top choice Sean, the 330P4 is easily the most beautiful sports racing car EVER. And if anyone disagrees, nice... but not as nice as the 917k in john wyer colours... or the 512 longtails.
Obi-Jiff Kenobi Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 nice... but not as nice as the 917k in john wyer colours... or the 512 longtails. Right, I warned you - I'm sending the boys round!
PHIL B Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Right, I warned you - I'm sending the boys round! Gentlemen please! Lets not lose sight of the issue at hand here... Quick Sean, get building while I keep 'em quiet! Phil.
seanrgb Posted March 27, 2008 Author Posted March 27, 2008 Ok a quickie question on this car ..Where they made of Steel or aluminium according to the instructions it says the floorpan suspension parts are silver ..so i'm guessing this being a 60's car this would be made of steel cheers sean
Ian Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 I'd try either Xtracolour Duralumin for a warm darker aluminium tone, Tamiya Aluminium - straight from the rattle-can is fine - for a true smooth aluminium tone or if you want a really faded white-aluminium tone, go for good old Humbrol Matt Aluminium MetalCote. Just my I'm not going to add to 'Beauty' argument..... but 917's & GT40's are/were achingly beautiful from certain angles, whereas the P3/P4 are sexy from all angles - IMHO. Ian BTW - Sean, Rennaissance do detail sets and alternative decals if you want to go the 'detailing' route !
seanrgb Posted March 28, 2008 Author Posted March 28, 2008 Ah Cheers Ian for that info ..I'll think I'll give the detail set a miss looks like too much work for me Plus the fact I'm a lazy and tight sod
