2023-03-12-13-38-00.jpg

And cabin crew
2023-03-12-13-38-18.jpg

I thought there were 2 figures, but it's just one, with 2 poses

I'm looking forward to building this although it will have to wait until a couple of my other GB entries are completed

It's been in the stash for a while so it can sit a little longer

I bought it in the days when shipping from Japan didn't cost an arm and a leg

More soon(ish)

Found it!  :phew:

I knew I had left this thread lying around somewhere

Well, I made a start on the bus yesterday

2023-05-06-15-56-06.jpg

Lopped off all the moulding supports

2023-05-06-16-45-22.jpg

The stuck the masks on to the windows.

2023-05-06-16-46-01.jpg

I was halfway through before I realised they are suppsed to go on the inside :banghead:but to be fair, there is nothing in the instructions that tell you this

It is on the masks themselves, but I don't reead Japanese

I then started assembling some of the bits before the paint goes on

2023-05-07-11-59-44.jpg

There's some nice detail on the inside of the bus

2023-05-07-12-47-55.jpg

2023-05-07-13-27-39.jpg

Fortunately the sinkhole on the steering wheel is on the underside

Then seats, lots of seats

2023-05-07-14-35-59.jpg

Took a bit of time, but I got there in the end

2023-05-07-15-29-12.jpg

There's also some decent detail on the tyres

2023-05-07-17-26-40.jpg

And this is about as far as I can go without colouring in

2023-05-07-17-26-28.jpg

I will have to start painting. Need to decide which silver to use

A quick trip to Halfords to browse their selection appears to be in my future

More soon(ish)

I was intending to prime everything before continuing with paint and final assembly, but life's too short to stick all those seats to something, prime, paint, then stick 'em all together, so....

I built the seating

2023-05-08-10-51-31.jpg

then blasted primer at all of the bits 'n' bobs

2023-05-08-15-54-32.jpg

the chassis was sprayed with rattlecan black and all the bits stuck on

2023-05-08-15-56-24.jpg

I'll let that cure a while then start spraying body colour, probably next weekend

There's a very rough test of the silver on a teaspoon on the right edge

The carpet monster seems to have been very peckish. The bag with the poly-caps and rear axle has gone missing

I'll need to do some searching

That's certainly coming along. As expected, that's a lot of seats 🙂 .... Some nice detail though, not bad at all.

Thanks Jeroen

A quick update for today

The body was painted silver (Not a very good pic)

2023-05-13-13-53-38.jpg

I'll let that cure for a bit then give it a rub-down

The little bag of bits with the axle and poly-caps has been retrieved from the carpet monster

2023-05-15-11-35-35.jpg

I hadn't packed them back into the box when taking the original contents shots and had put them "somewhere safe" until I needed them again

Obviously, I had forgotten this when it came time to use them

I've been a little quiet of late, mainly due to lack of modelling time, but I've not been totally idle

Those many, many seats have had more paint applied. It's all a but patchy but they're never going to be seen behind the dark tinted windows

2023-06-04-14-06-20.jpg

And the insides are put together (apart from one set of seats which I missed when I was painting)

2023-06-04-20-12-08.jpg

2023-06-04-20-12-25.jpg

I did a bit of detail on the driver's office

Well, now that I've revovered from the seating, and Ermintrude in the Recon GB is finished, I need to get a shift on to finish this one before the deadline

Deacls going on

2023-06-25-15-05-26.jpg

And more

2023-06-25-16-37-27.jpg

And on the front
2023-06-25-16-37-42.jpg

There are some really awkward bits on the sides which will need work

Everything has been liberally dosed with Micro-Sol but I reckon it will take multiple coats and then some really careful work with a scalpel

After a bit of a repaint, this is more like it

2023-06-30-21-21-37.jpg

And starting the final assembly

2023-07-01-13-01-05.jpg

The transparent parts really shine in the sunlight

2023-07-01-13-22-49.jpg

2023-07-01-13-22-57.jpg

windows and ceiling in place

2023-07-01-13-57-00.jpg

2023-07-01-13-57-21.jpg

And ready for final joinery

2023-07-01-15-39-06.jpg

I tried to put 'em together but it's proving to be difficult

The shell is a really tight fit over the interior parts

I started knocking seats off, and the dashboard actually came away, so I had to take the shell off again

At this point, the ceiling and one of the window panels dived out

I've reassembled wverything and will try again tomorrow

12 hours ago, JeroenS said:

It looks tricky,

It was

More parts came loose, including the dasboard again but I did manage to persuade the whole thing to go together in the end

I even managed to stick the opening door bits on

2023-07-02-11-47-08.jpg

And finally, it's done

2023-07-02-10-27-22.jpg

I really enjoyed building this one, but putting it all together in the end was a chore

There are things I would do differently if I was building it again

2023-07-02-11-38-53.jpg

Anyway, pics in the gallety soon(ish)

Thanks to @Robert Stuart @JeroenS and @Pin for the GB, and as always, the leader of the GB massive. @Enzo the Magnificent

Thanks also to everyone else for comments, likes, or even just for looking
