Hi all,

just completed the new Pilot-Replicas Saab Sk60 (Saab 105) in 1:48. Really nice kit with a lot of fine details. Built it OOB.

Neat-looking build, but I'd have to say that personally I'd have toned the weathering down a bit - or even a lot.

Nice model with heavy camo weathering! Also I like the details from cockpit and the painting metal rear parts.

Very neat build of the SK 60. The kit has been long in gestation, but when it finally arrived, it was a winner.

 

I would agree that to my eyes the weathering looks a bit heavy, even though the SK 60 was in service for many years.

 

A detail: you have placed the ejection seat safeties (the black rubber handles with yellow stencilling) too low. They're attached just above the lower edge of the headrest, like on the below pic. Just before take off, you pull them and turn them up to a vertical position.

 

The above aircraft is one of the six plane Swedish Air Force display team, so it would be kept spic'n'span!

Congrats for your very nice build.

The Tunnan was a pleasure to build. I do like high wing planes and Swedish roundels so this one will be on the Christmas wishlist for sure. I hope there will be some left between now and then.
