Nice to see!

Also nice to see full colour painting guides 🙂

And very nice they are, too! I liked them both (72060 for the Yak-9D and 72001 for the Yak-9T) so much that I had to buy two of each, in case I did something wrong if I only had one set. Besides, they're for Yak-9's. What's not to like?

No decals for any version of the "winged red star" of 3 IAK's Yaks... 😢

Winged stars  - end of 1944 and 1945 era, so it placed  on Yak-9 with moved back canopy. In 2023 Zvezda will release Yak-9T 1/48 and we going to release decals for  Yak-9T, K, DD  in 1\72 and 1\48 scales. And probably Yak-9T 1/32.

Looks like a typical modern Zvezda 1/48 release, lots of details, likely very accurate and at low price.

Shame that the eventual 1/72 version will be toy-ified...

What?! There's going to be a 1/72 version of the Yak-9T? There's already a Zvezda 1/72 Yak-9D, but a -9T? I hope you're right, but wrong about the "toy-ification"!

Thanks Troy, I wonder why it was painted upside down ?

JG  53 'Pik As' used the Ace of Spades as a badge,  given it's black is may represent that, or the Germans in general, and is shown going down?

Pure supposition,  VVS aircraft do on occasion have some quite impressive artwork, though it can be a bit amateur hour in execution on occasion, but that adds to the charm.... possibly

Try googling "upside down ace of spades"  as that bring up all sorts of funny ideas....

It's a great bit of personal art though!  The linked page confirms the spiral spinner too.

Fascinating to now see what were often random images now with attributed to a unit and pilot as well.

cheers
