Did you take first place in the model throwing competition?

Hi Jeroen,

Gold medal position on the podium!

To be honest, I'm surprised that I didn't do more damage!

Cheers,

Alan.

This looks like a really nice kit, glad you've persevered & done such a great job with it

I'm also a fan of 2 part epoxy glues, but even the fast setting ones take ages to hold if the pieces aren't perfect!

Well done on rescuing it after that near disaster. You must have built it pretty solid to avoid it disintegrating from being thrown; either that or you've installed a special soft model throwing booth in your workspace.

I think the thing about fitting the interior to the body before the chassis may be a Revell thing, I've not know any other manufacturer do it (yet!), but both the Cuda and Challenger were assembled that way. And going through this thread has made me think I need to get a mini G-clamp...

Finally, I have got round to doing some more work on my models.

I decided that  in order to get something done, I needed to push a couple over the finishing line.

I selected the Nissan GTR Nismo and the Beemer.

So, without any further ado, here we go:

I have fitted the 'chrome' trim. I decided that the Revell chrome was a bit too 'shiny' , so I stripped it and repainted it with Molotow chrome. Then repainted the rubbing strips with 'tyre black'

To be honest, it's a little messy. However, the camera is being kind here.

This is what it looks like with the bonnet installed, Unfortunately, the boot lid doesn't sit quite right. But, I'll live with that.

Not much of an update, but there wasn't much to do.

This will be appearing an an RFI section near to you!

Cheers,

Alan.
