theplasticsurgeon
Yes this kit. This actually belongs to Jet Age - I'm building it for them. Here are the parts. And after some interior cockpit decoration. Completed model with new image host at end of thread. theplasticsurgeon
Now i know people are going to want comparison Airfix/Novo, so I took some photos. Straightaway noticing that Novo is much wider at the tail. Overall, as you would expect - the new Airfix (light blue) is much better. Let's hope they re-engineer this kit as a car-door.

stevehnz
Looking good Tim, both this one & the car door, I hope you'll give us a photo of the old & new together when you're done, it'd be good to be able to compare them. Steve.

theplasticsurgeon
There has been some interest in how I make my disk props. This is how I do it - photos same as the Tempest thread. This is typically my source of clear plastic, a coleslaw pot lid. I prefer plastic labels, they come off more cleanly. And this is my circular cutter, this one from The Works, Set to the radius of the prop, cutter includes a scalpel blade. Not very visible, but two disks from that coleslaw lid. Then a cocktail stick to centre things, and superglue to secure it all. Next just fit the spinner with more superglue. theplasticsurgeon
Sadly Photobucket has decided to cease 3rd party hosting, rendering this and most of my other GBs pretty useless. I'll find a new host for gallery photos on completion, but I'm unlikely to migrate all the build photos. Fitted rails last night, and I've just painted the rockets. stevehnz
A nice trio of completions there Tim, proof positive that good modelling can tale an old and/or ordinary kit & transform it into something a bit special as you've shown with your three builds of these classic British kits. Steve. It's actually all four, but leaning about a new photo host took me past my bedtime. The Tempest will be revealed tonight. Got to say photo bucket has diminished my apetite for GBs. stevehnz
I should have realised there was one missing, I forgot about the Tempest. Something to look forward to. The whole PB thing has really curdled my custard this week, something we could well have done without. Steve.
