  1. Lovely work and very evocative presentatation. Can almost hear a Skylark singing! Very well done. Gary
  2. A vote for the Sparmax GP-35 from me. I bought one from Paul a while ago and have been using it for the past 18 months. I find it exceptionally comfortable to hold and use. Adjusts down to spray a nice fine line too. In the past I've always owned airbrushes with the trigger on the top and the old fingers did get a bit achey at times but I'm converted to the trigger type now. Not had any problems at all with the side mounted cup slipping, it screws up nicely against a rubber seal. Another advantage of the trigger and side mounted cup is that you actually have a better view of what you are spraying. For the price too, I think it is great value. Gary
  3. Fabulous work on your Golden Hind. The faded effect of the markings on the sails look particularly good. Lovely modelling. Gary.
  4. Quite like it myself. A simple design that fits in well with the lines of the aircraft. Leave the garish stuff to the one's who do it best, eh?
  5. Sharp work on the paintwork Wilks. That's a nice looking scheme and you've done a great job on it. Looking really nice Gary
  6. Sorry to hear that Matt. Hope to see you back here again as soon as you are able. Good work on the Lightning too. Gary.
  7. A very nice line-up you've modelled there. I like the way you've done the muzzle-brakes, it looks very effective for this scale.
  8. Looking bloomin' lovely John. This really is going to be an eye-catcher. Great work. Gary
  9. Absolutely gorgeous ! I am constantly in awe of modellers who can produce work of this standard. Very well done Gary.
  10. Thanks Paul. Knowing John he will certainly do it justice, as you say. Think we might need to get a bigger, stronger table for Telford this year! Gary.
  11. Good luck with this one John. I know you've had an ambition to build this for quite a while now. Good to see it started at last. Gary
  12. Received my 3 sheets today. I only ordered them yesterday and the postie delivered them today, so top marks for delivery time! The decals look very nice, with good colours and everything in register. Lovely artwork too, to show what goes where. Very impressed and well worth the wait. Really looking forward to using them. Top job Jon and hopefully more to follow? Gary
  13. Seconded for Name-It. Excellent service every time and a quick turn round too.
  14. Hi Jonners. How about a sheet dedicated to just the R.Aux.A.F. Sqns ? Some great schemes to chose from
  15. Thanks very much for all the kind comments Gary
  16. Thanks for the nice words guys. It's amazing how much stuff is available in this scale now. Amongst other subjects, Cloudbreak Models do a range of of De Havilland Herons and Hawker Siddeley Dominies which look lovely and would look great given the same treatment. More details of what's out there in 1/200 scale, from a range of different manufacturers can be found here http://www.helmet-aircraft-200.co.uk/epages/BT4224.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/BT4224/Categories I must say, this T.11 would look good with a Javelin on each wingtip! Gary
  17. Hi everyone, I just thought I'd post a few pictures of a recently completed impulse buy from last months Scalemodelworld. It's a white metal 1/200 scale Canberra T.11 produced by Cloudbreak Models. It proved to be a nice relaxing build and very much a change from the norm. As the finished model was fairly small (4" wingspan) I decided to do an in flight model. The clouds were made from parcel packing material. Hope you like her. Gary
  18. Hi Tom, For anyone interested in the Canberra you'll find the IPMS Canberra website very useful........ http://ipmscanberrasig.webs.com/ There is superb reference material available in the galleries and walkarounds on all the different marks too, including the PR.9. If you drop an e-mail to the SIG leader John (Mr.Canberra) I'm sure he'll be able to provide the answer to your bomb bay question too. To say he know's a bit about the "Queen of the Skies" is an understatement! Better still, if you like building Canberra's then why not join the SIG and post us a few piccies of what you're up to? You don't need to be an IPMS member to join and we'd love to see you there. Cheers, Gary
  19. Hi Nick, You can find details of the crash in this book. It contains the full stories of all servive personnel (all nationalities) who are buried in Scampton churchyard. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Slightly-Below-Gli...8442&sr=1-1 I had a quick look at it whilst at Newark Aviation Museum a few weeks ago, so I know they have it in stock. I believe it has a chapter on the incident in question. Gary
