  1. Pure Phantom Porn. Not seen that one before so thank you for sharing.
  2. You could try Andy Saunders. Is an active poster on the Flypast Forum as Tangmere1940 and always seems keen to help or point in the right direction. Faililng that he has his own website with email address. http://andysaunders.tumblr.com/
  3. The trouble is that in this day and age, it really does sound a plausible story.
  4. I saw the made up Scimiter on the CMR stand and was impressed with how it had the "sit" of the real thing. I also liked the two seat Spitfire that they had made up. Now if only someone would produce one in 1/48 ? Wonder what happened to Brigade Models and the conversion they did ?
  5. Lovely pictures of a small piece of history. It has that used look and certainly in me eyes, is so much more interesting and absorbing to look at than the factory fresh finished airframes. Why would the paint on the under-fuselage around the wing gull section by worn to bare metal so much ?
  6. Thats looking really impressive. Cant wait to see this progress to completion Steve.
  7. Re the Vampires, No one seems to have mentioned the A Model range presently on offer. http://www.rammodels.co.uk/advanced_search...40a620d0e0ea533
  8. Indeed the cockpit section has been saved for restoration. I think this will be the thread to which you refer. http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread....215#post1805215
  9. Demobbed has it listed as the following. Sure it was wheeled out for a recent airshow at Cosford. XX119 SEPECAT Jaguar GR3A AI, special marks DCAE Cosford Jun 2011
  10. My favourite Viscount scheme. Used to watch them fly into Baginton (Coventry Airport) as a kid. Lovely noise. BTW the model is looking lovely. Shame we don't see more models of this very important aircraft to British and indeed world aviation.
  11. We have the Meteor F8 by MPM in stock at present. http://www.rammodels.co.uk/advanced_search...8fc37e072782c85
  12. How big are you looking for ? Deans Marine do a Radio Control one. http://www.deansmarine.co.uk/shop/product_...products_id/461
  13. Are there any decals available for the RAF Anniversay schemes at all ? Failing that I might just build as the Camo Tanker in the box.
  14. Ive a decent set of drawings available. They were certainly good enough for me to design a radio control model from them. If your interested drop me a PM.
  15. I would back up what other's have said and opt for the A2Z offering. Ive one stored away one day to be done. Stunning. Not cheap but worth the money. Avoid the Magna kit. The fuselage shape had issues from what I remember and it just didnt follow the scale drawings I had.
  16. Do we know which bomber marks are rumoured to be released at all ?
  17. This thread here describes the shortcomings in going doing the Italeri & Esci route for a GR.5 http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.p...mp;#entry867599
  18. There is this option to correct the nose on the Harrier GR.7 kit http://www.rammodels.co.uk/product_info.php/products_id/69
  19. No worries. Enough people have helped me on the forum so now time to repay the favours. I will dig the book out and then drop you a PM at somepoint later today.
  20. Just no pleasing some people My interest is that many were built in my home town by Standard Motors. Also Ansty where they were flown from is a stones throw from home as is Church Lawford. If you do need any info from the book on specific airframes etc let me know. I will help where possible.
  21. Wow that looks lovely. From a time when Airliner's had nice looking colourscheme's. Or is that nostalgia kicking in. Could you be tempted with another to join the proposed Group Build by kev1n could you, or indeed anyone else http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.p...mp;#entry864317
  22. For those interested in the Oxford can I recommend this book. https://www.air-britain.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh000...ehtml%23a26#a26
  23. Flypast March (unknown year as I only kept th feature & it fails to mention the year on the page bottom) "Airfield Archaeology No.7 Church Lawford Airfield April 27th 1944 Pilot Officer G.S Moore was carrying out a night flying detail from Lawford. He was on the downwind leg in Oxford LX196 and had just selected undercarriage down when he was attacked by an Me 410 of 16/KG2. The night fighter was on a free range mission from Holland and had joined the Lawford circuit with the object of shooting down the four Oxfords in it at that time, all no doubt showing their navigation lights. The cannon and machine gun ripped through the wooden aircraft which broke up in the air. Unfortunately for the German pilot he collided with the wreckage and his aircraft fell out of control into a field beside the village of Frankton. It is believed locally that the Canadian pilots last act was to ram the fighter but the truth will never be known."
