  1. Very nice work on an inusual aircraft. Bravo !
  2. The IBG model is decidedly beautiful, but we know that perfection does not exist in model making, so also in this case it is necessary to make some modifications and/or additions to the cockpit, the propeller/naca complex, the rear part of the engine and the landing gear legs. The chosen subject is a D-9 of Stab II/JG 6, an aircraft which surrendered in Fürth on 8 May 1945. The camouflage scheme is in RLM 81/82, with areas in RLM 75 on the right wing and the moving part of the tail plans. Under the technical officer's chevron-dot on both sides of the fuselage appears a retouch (RLM 65 ?) covering the previous code. The colors, all mixtures of Humbrol Enamels, have been applied exclusively with a brush, while the decals are from the Eagle Cals 72-61 sheet. The lower surfaces are in scheme W2 (JaPo classification) in natural metal/RLM 76. Hope you like it. Thanks for your attention. Giampiero Piva
  3. Nice ! (but perhaps the cockades are a little too shiny compared to the rest of the model).
  4. The Bf110 Eduard kit is an excellent starting point for the model; to what was offered in the box I added the Eduard 672012 resin interior, the photoetched set, also from the same company (72556) and finally the barrel of the 37 mm gun (Master 72090). The resin cockpit was designed for the versions equipped with 4 x MG151s in the nose, absent in the G-2/R1, so some modifications are necessary. Another small modification concerns the air intakes of the engines, of the type with sand filter. The aircraft shown is a Bf110 G-2/R1 belonging to 4./ZG76, operating from Wertheim in autumn 1943; given the white color of the external part of the rudders, the aircraft was probably that of the Staffel commander (abbreviated as 'Staka'). The camo scheme, exclusively obtained with a brush, is in the classic RLM 74/75/76 (Humbrol Enamels color mixtures), while the decals are part of the kit contents. Hope you like. Thanks for viewing Giampiero Piva
  5. Nice, congratulations! Giampiero P.S. I'm happy to have been of help to you.
  6. Errata Corrige : the kit is not Hasegawa, but a modified AMtech, sorry.
  7. Dear friends, it will be the age, it will be the heat, however the recently posted images of the Ju88 S-3 were not from the Hasegawa kit, but from AMtech, sorry. Giampiero Piva
  8. Dear friends, this time I present to you a work from several years ago, unfortunately without WIP, which at that time I was not in the habit of making and in any case you can refer to more recent works, for example the Ju88 T-1. The subject is a Ju88 S-3 of 1./KG 6, operating from Montdidier in the spring of 1944. In the images it can be seen under the wings the eight antennas of the FuG 217 rear warning radar and the two classic inverted T antennas of the FuG 101 radio altimeter. The camouflage, as always done only with a brush, is in RLM 76/22, with 22 'dots' on the basic 76.The canopy frames are in RLM 70, which, together with 71 and 65, was the initial livery of the aircraft. Finally some detail photos. Thanks for your attention. Criticisms and suggestions welcome. Giampiero Piva
