  1. Spotted round the corner from me,this car is parked in front of an undertakers premises, shop! I’ve worked out that the owner works there as he was leaving at about 5pm. Not sure if this is in the best possible taste! The car is LHD too, makes it worse! It’s a Chevrolet Camaro by the way. Chris.
  2. I received an e mail recently from Marsh models/Aerotech showing that they are issuing a new version of their DH88 Comet in the Burberry colour scheme. Light grey with blue lettering etc. Chris.
  3. Wow, these are both very excellent models.Chris.
  4. Thanks for the reminder,I will most definitely be watching. Chris.
  5. I’ve made a cock up,I hadn’t quite finished and pressed the button.sorry for dragging this post out now,Chris.
  6. I remember seeing these models in the Grand Prix Models magazine,a kind of rolling catalogue. I’m moving house and I have about 30 years of this mag. - Four Small Wheels and I’m slowly giving them to various charity shops! I have been flicking through them so will see if I can find some nice pictures and add them here. Chris.
  7. Thanks for looking, the decalling I can’t remember now,I made these models so long ago,I just had to have that Venturi I must admit, can’t afford a real one…..These 2 models I’ve put on eBay as we’re moving soon, and I do have a lot of stuff to cut down on.Chris.
  8. 2 quite old ones here,an art car French Venturi car from the 1995 Le Mans race. A Starter resin kit,I replaced the nondescript wheels with a set from Renaissance, but they’re ever so slightly too big,but still a big improvement. It doesn’t matter what I do this picture only shows upside down!!! Grrr I’ll try another one,the fastest car I think at Le Mans 1989, a Group C Nissan. Hope you like,Chris.
  9. I love small stuff, this is very attractive and nostalgic. You just need a railway set now to go with it! Chris.
  10. A great model,it’s the small bits that add up to make it look less plain. Not sure I worded that right! Chris.
  11. I agree with all of the above! It’s come out extremely well,I didn’t know there was a Tamiya pe set. Chris.
  12. That’s just beautiful! Love the dashboard and the interior especially,it definitely raises the Provence kit. I have an AMR kit,I never thought of making an IMSA car,but I will now! Chris.
  13. And it still looks very nice! It’s good to see these kits of the lesser known racecars.Chris.
  14. Wow! I wasn’t expecting the fabulous weathering, it was a wet race! Superb. Chris.
  15. I like your work so far! Also a great job on the wheels! The colour you stripped off is the colour of Schumacher era cars, described as orange red, you’re right it’s too light for 1970 cars. I have one of these kits too,but it’s the blue Penske one. Chris.
  16. What a great model! I’ve recently bought the New Airfix P40……… Chris.
  17. I’ve had a good study of their website and facebook pages, they are related in some way to Jade. But it looks as though Tumult do make their own models and masters for others, all their kits including the Gordini show their name on the box and baseplate. I’m concluding that they made the master for the Renaissance models Gordini. I should buy at least one of their kits now! Chris.
  18. I put this in the rumourmonger section, but I suppose more car people would see it here. I had a pleasant e mail from the maker who’s called Princess of Tumult, they make exquisite 1/43 resin kits and this is the latest one. It’s a Connaught sportscar,I was unaware of this car’s existence till just now. They can be seen on Scalemates too. Chris.
  19. I think that’s really nice,SRC kits are, were very good. I like the removable bodywork,I had one of these kits until Colin Fraser gave me his one of his built Tameo cars, I couldn’t be bothered to build mine then and sold it.I think It would look good to have both models now! I think the stripes colour was called biscuit or oatmeal,I can’t remember now…… A great model there! Chris.
  20. I received an e mail the other day about this new kit. It’s from Princess of Tumult, yes that is their name ! I assume it’s a one man band? And they are on Scalemates,I must admit their models look exquisite. Below is the picture of the completed model,I was unaware of this car until now! Chris.
  21. Thanks everyone,I have sort of decided to concentrate on Lotus and Jaguar race cars but it’s flexible- also includes any car with a number on the side! P.S. The next one’s a BMW. Chris.
  22. It looks so just right, the shape’s perfect and I agree about the not so shiny paint,it’s more fitting for a fifties car.Very nice! Chris.
  23. My latest little completed kit,it’s by Tameo,I’ve got the famous black car already. I had to use the clamp shown(a good purchase from Wilco!) to stop the photo etch suspension from springing apart whist glueing. The wheel also fell off during a pit stop, but has now been safely replaced! The other kit is Jim Clark and his Indy 500 winning Lotus 38 I built a long time ago,it’s an SMTS kit. Hope you like,Chris. P.S. it’s Carlos Reutemann’s car that’s why it’s probably lesser spotted as a model.
