  1. Hi Dave Thanks very much. I wasnt too sure if it was an old website or not. Have contacted them. Just to wait for the reply now. Cheers James
  2. Bought the RAE boxing. I hope someone does decals for empire test pilots school ZE432 with the gold titles.
  3. I have had these 2 pieces for a while now. They are to be used for firefighting and freighter versions but was wondering what kit they were actually for. I have the academy SB-17 but don't know if it would fit the kit. Plan to make a fire fighting aircraft from the 60/70s.
  4. Hi Phil. Yes it is that one and thanks for the link to the sky ways one. I did see that one and wondered if it was the same colours or the yellow was red when with conair. Also wondering if it's the same engine that would be in the revell kit. I am suspecting the front just doesn't have a good on it showing more.
  5. Evening folks. I recently came across an online photo of a conair boeing stearman. Now this seams to have a single seat with a Piper Pawnee type canopy. I can't find any other photos of this aircraft. Does anyone know of any other photos as the one that I found is black and white and i would like to know what the colours were. Any help would be much appreciated.
  6. Bought one of these already. It was easy to build for a resin kit and I have their cessna 310/310R/NASA 410/RNZAF Golden Eagle, Piper PA-28 Tomahawk, Grumman AG-CAT. I would love to see a turbo commander in as good quality.
  7. Sabre jet totally agree with you there. Thanks for the thought too
  8. 71chall thanks for the thoughts. I think the scheme is very similar. I actually thought it was green/blue for a start. Lighting does play a big part in what we see. Those photos are of really good quality too. As for the inscription I was going to post this as I did find that but definately saw somewhere that it was the Sabre tanks. Just irritating I can't find it. There was/is somewhere on Facebook where there are two aircraft and one in the back has tanks underneath. But can't find that one either and they both look more green, but lighting again.
  9. Hi John. Thanks for getting back to me. I was putting out feelers to see if anyone had tried the nose conversion or had designed a nose replacement. I think you had posted a side profile but if you could send it again that would be great thanks. As for the Sabre tanks. I was looking last night and couldn't find the article stating that the wings were modified to handle the external fuel tanks. But there is a photo of one aircraft with underwing tanks on pylons. Also there is a great colour photo on Facebook of a Pakistan air force B-57 taking off. I just typed that into the search bar and it was the first image. Now I know they were painted Black, Grey topside/black underside and a dark green colour but do you know if they were ever painted in an air force blue colour. I came across a Vallejo light USAF blue that I thought was dead on for some of the painted aircraft but I could be wrong.
  10. Thanks Troy. I have had communications with Canberra kid about this subject before and he has been very helpful.
  11. Hi guys. Trying to fine out some info on the above. I'm half way building the italeri B-57 but wondered if anyone had any suggestions on how to get the nose right. I have tried looking at the airfix A-4B Skyhawk nose but thinking it might be a bit small. Anyone out there tried this before? Or any 3D modellers tried this? Tried looking for B-57 plans that show the longer nose but no success. Surprised there is not a conversion nose for this. Heard that they were capable of carrying F-86 Sabre tanks. Would these have the same hard points as the F-86 or the original B-57 ones. Also would the tanks still have the fins or would these be removed. Any help much appreciated.
  12. Very nice work on the models there and thanks for the photos. I first had a fondness for the goose when watching commando. Also just purchased aero club props for the beech king air that I read before hand are the same Hartzel props for the goose.
  13. Wow. Thats some awesome reading material and photos. Regarding the props. I have spare ones from the airfix jet stream and skvan models as I believe a read somewhere these are the correct ones. One set for the goose and one set for a beech 18 as the skyvan is getting 4 blades from aftermarket tucano sets. I hope the CMP version has the Mckinnon design. Thanks very much for the help.
  14. Evening folks. Hope yous are all enjoying this festive season. Was wondering if anyone knows of any 1/72 plans for the grumman goose. Specifically looking for details on later aircraft that have retractable floats and the different struts they have. I just recieved my above and below Canadian Mountain Police decals and will be using the CMR kit that I have had in my stash for a while. I have had a look on google for images but the ones i found all show the floats retracted.
  15. Hi. I was wondering if there is anyone who knows the roundel size for the Egyptian air force AN-74. Also is there any external difference between the AN-72P and AN-74. I have came across decals for and Egyptian Get hercules but don't know if they'd be the right size. Any help would be much appreciated.
