  1. Thank you for your kind words! πŸ™‚
  2. Many thanks to you all for you comments....appreciate it! 😊 Hi Jim Reference the wheels.....I never use aftermarket or 3D printing to enhance my models.....I used the kits wheels (which are awful!) but at least they were round!!! 😁...I used electrical wire and super glued each cut piece carefully around the wheels...fiddly but you can get a good result with a little patience....give it a go on your kit and save some money! Cheers Fozzy
  3. OMG!😲........That is superb!....Well done.....going to have to get one of these!
  4. Thank you everyone for all your comments!😊
  5. Hi there I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed putting this Talbot Lago together! Maybe some of you would have run a mile from this very un detailed offering by Mistercraft ....but for me it screamed ....now , here's a challenge! The kit provided a very basic engine block....a steering wheel /dash board and a drivers seat for the cockpit...4 moulded wheels and tyres as one and that was about it! Then again the kit cost me Β£8 to purchase!......so hey ho! ...mustn't complain ....,I mean what does one expect for that price? For me this kit was perfect as it gave me a lot of scope to improve it by scratch building extra parts....something I love doing! I used the kits decals (carefully as they were old and fragile!) and the body work was sprayed with Revell 50 light blue gloss. I hope you like it 😊 Perhaps a little photo heavy!!πŸ˜‰........but thanks for taking a look! Cheers Fozzy
  6. Once again...thank you all for your great comments....I have to say ,that I really liked putting this one together!😊
  7. Hi there Its time for those wheels!😩 After a few attempts, this is what I came up with..................I think they are passable if you don't study them too closely!!!😏 Here are the kits front wheels....... The first thing I did was drilled 6 holes on the face of both front and rear wheels...... I then added some detail to the back plate of the rear wheels (air intake etc)..... My attempt at adding the spokes was achieved by cutting small pieces of electrical wire and super gluing them in position on the wheels......a fiddly job and difficult to line them up ....... All that was left to do was to paint them....here are the back plates of the rear wheels...... .....and the front. I think they look better on the car!!! here's the rear wheel showing the back plates of the wheels..... I have enjoyed playing around with this cheap old Mistercraft kit of the Talbot Lago and I thank you to those who have followed this build 😊 Here's a few of the Lago finished....I'll put more on RFI As always.....thanks for looking in.... Fozzy
  8. Love the axles and leaf springs....great job Ross! 😲
  9. Well you're right about the wheels I guess...they are a bugger!...as you will see on my feeble attempt!😲
  10. You're right Trevor!.....each to their own! 😊
