  1. For those familiar with the Star wars Amftermath trilogy books, there is a character called Mr Bones, a B1 Battle Droid that is self modified and free of its Imperial coding. Having distinctive black and red markings and using bones as a form of self expression, its an intriguing character. I found a couple of pictures of Mr Bones online and thought it woul be good to have a go at cobbling together some 3D files I already had of the b1 battle Droid to see what I could come up with, and I'm quite please with the result. Resin printed at 1/12 scale. Thanks for looking.
  2. Hi Kevin, The easiest solution I have found is a DFPlayer Mini MP3 Player Module. it needs at least a 4.5V supply, so can be run off a USB socket if wanted. The only other components needed are a SD card with the sound files on, a speaker and an off/on/off momentary switch. this is the module. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154480158202?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=vZ_tcpCfRy6&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=Bccd9OXVSHS&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY The switch allows you to move through the sound files one at a time and vary the volume. It’s probably too big to fit in an Eaglemoss model but you can add it into a base. I use it for Star Wars figures like R2 and C3P0. There are other ways to control it using Arduino but for a quick simple solution this is the best I’ve found. Cheers,
  3. This is the same files printed at1/20 scale. Decals for 1/48 are by CRM Production, I'm getting the1/20 commissioned this week.
  4. I’ve got an agreement with Alain Rivard to print and sell his Thunderfighter kit. I have a couple of 1/48 kits available and will have more once I get some more decals sorted. I’m also thinking of doing a kit at 1/20 scale. Kit is £110 and includes decals and a stand. Cheers,
  5. There is definitely a lot less work with the latest FDM printers, the Bambu Lab is brilliant. Mike, 1/12 is not large, face your fears and get it painted 😜
  6. Been away from the forum for a while but getting back into building things for myself again. This is a resin and filament 3D print from files by Galactic Armory, the figure is resin and the throne filament. Painted with Vallejo paints. The last picture is of the 1/6 scale throne I printed for a customer. I did print oner for Mike some time ago and the throne wasn't the greatest of prints as I had to split it to get it on the resin printer, the advances in FDM filament printing over the last year or two mean that the work required to get a filament print to look decent has greatly reduced. Thanks for looking.
  7. Bit late to this conversation but have you tried opening the files in 3D Builder, it’s a free piece of software from Microsoft, search in the App Store, it tells you if a file is ‘broken’ and then gives you the option to repair it. It also has split and merge functions, not that you need the merge with this monster!😂
  8. Thanks Carl, as for getting the kids involved, Sophie’s 28!😃😃
  9. The motor in the TOS Enterprise only spins the clear part with the fins on, I’m developing a circuit board that has the LEDs on for the static orange and the randomly flashing coloured LEDs. if you are at the Smallspace sci-fi next weekend (16th) I’ll have a sample on display.
  10. Over the Christmas break last year I decided to make a 1:1 scale Yoda figure using the excellent files from Galactic Armory. The main parts were all FDM 3D printed using my Elegoo printer. My daughter was also challenged to make the clothes for him before we took him into the local woods for a photo shoot. (Yes, we did get some funny looks from people!) The 3D prints. And the Photo shoot! Thanks for looking
  11. At €195 it’s not a bad price for a large kit, not sure how much it will end up being in UK though!😬
  12. Just to put some context to Mike's post above, I have become a Patreon of Galactic Armory which allows me to sell printed versions of their 3D files. Most of the figures are Star Wars though there is a Master Chief figure from Halo as well. The files are scaled to 1:6 but I will be offering them in 1:12 initially, a few tasters for you! The 1:12 figures will be £25-£30 and will include a wooden picture frame base with a piece of expanded foam to allow you to add scenic material if you want. Will put more info on my trader page after this weekend's Smallspace show at Hanslope. Cheers,
  13. Hi Andy, no they don't come pre-supported, I use Chitibox to support and slice them. If you have a 3D printer you could borrow a file if any of the ones I have are of interest! 😄 Hi Mikey, I tried to help by putting the scale in the title but I guess not everyone reads that bit! 😛 That is the advantage of stl files, you can rescale to whatever size you want. Thanks both for the comments.
  14. Not been on here for what seems like ages. I have been resin printing for a while and recently came across an outfit called Galactic Armory who produce a range of SW figures as stl file downloads so I purchased a few and printed them out and through a bit of paint at them. The files are 1-6 scale but I reduced them before slicing and printing. Note: the Bob Ross figure in the first picture is a not from GA its a stop -motion puppet my daughter made! 😀 Highly recommended if you have access to a resin printer. Cheers,
  15. No official price yet, but expected to be about $60 so probably about £60 by the time it gets over here
