  1. Wogga, the third handle in the cab was the PTO lever, normally for the winch when fitted. When were you at 14? I was LAD 14 from Nov 83 to Oct 86, both at Schuen and in town. Cheers Ian
  2. Very nice. Your models and research are always a pleasure to see. Ian
  3. This is beyond brilliant! Well done that man
  4. Very nice indeed, and timely too, as today is the 30th anniversary of the disaster. And so realistic, marvelous skills
  5. I'm still in for 1 of each of the decal sheets please. Any chance that the Victor bits are for the bomber version?
  6. Beautiful!! Can I have one of each please?
  7. Whatever you do, don't do what I did. Spotted a bit of net curtain material that was the right size and shape of mesh for a cam net I needed, got the scissors and cut out the bit I wanted. Maybe cutting a hole in the middle of the new front door net curtain was a small error......... Still got the scars from that one
  8. You should look at this as well http://www.clavework-graphics.co.uk/ This is the bloke who did the racing planes and he does a whole bunch of other stuff as well
  9. Or at least a good set of decals..... http://cars.uk.msn.com/features/images.aspx?cp-documentid=259945138&page=2
  10. Tres nice, Mish.
  11. Its because they have torsion bar suspension. A bar is anchored on the inside of one side of the hull and the other end pokes out of the other side of the hull with two 90 degree bends in it, much like a starting handle, for the road wheel to go on. The suspension works without springs and relies on the 'twisting' action of the bar to keep the road wheel on the floor. It all works quite well until the bar snaps and you have to get the broken end out end out to make room for the new one.
  12. You might have a point there. That Tiger looks the biz though
  13. That pick up looks like the original Toyota Land Cruiser from the eighties. Is it just me or does anyone else wonder how almost every person in the middle east seems to have an endless supply of Ak's and these 23mm cannons? Neighbour disputes must be quite violent there then.
  14. Nah, it's not oil, it's a puddle made by one of the VM's when a Reccy Mech winked at him Still a nice model though
  15. At BATUS wksp in the early eighties we swapped the genny plugs round on the EJB so the front masterswitch worked the rear genny and vice versa. The shaft driven rear genny was on line from the off and when the grunts wanted to listen to the radio and knocked the rear masterswitch on the belt driven front genny slipped the belts for a bit and then worked. Saved us no end of work
