  1. Hi @jhutchi No, sorry, I was unable to come up with any really definite confirmation or info. Plus, all the Russian links that used to work are now apparently dead. 😒 So that "project" is currently "on hold". Larry
  2. Thanks so much for that link! Apologies for my late response Larry
  3. Apparently, this website is no more. Larry
  4. I have an OLD boxing (© 1969) of the Airfix/Craftmaster 1/72 Lockheed Hudson, that I would like to build as the Lockheed Hudson Mk.1 (N7357) of No. 2 PRU, as profiled in the Lockheed Hudson Warpaint. My Aussie friend suggested I at least correct the incorrect elevators. I hated to compare the kit parts to the drawings in Hudson Warpaint book, because the drawings were "done" by Richard J. Caruana, who does not exactly have a record of accurate drawings. Can anybody tell me what is incorrect about the elevators? I have read "reviews/build reports) that said the engines also need replacing. One more thing, should I sand down the oversize rivets on the model? Since I don't have good info about the Hudson in No.2 PRU, I will have to "Guesstimate" on the camera(s) sticking out of the left side of the airplane. Regards, Larry Engesath
  5. Thanks for the informative reply. It makes sense. I especially like your comment about the crews not knowing where the fuel tanks were. Larry
  6. I am working on the ICM 1/72 Ki-21-Ia RTAF (Kit 72206), and I was wondering if the 2 interior fuel tanks would be painted different from the normal fuselage interior color of Dark Grey (According to the ICM instructions)? I thought that they might be a different color, to let air crew & ground crew know they had flammable liquid in them. This is a beautifully detailed kit, but some of the parts are "tricky/fiddly" in how they go together. Much better than my Revell Takara Mitsubishi Type-97 Heavy Bomber Ki-21-II (Sally), which has moved to the "shelf of doom" for the time being. It suffered some damage from a "hard landing". Larry
  7. Thanks for that added info. With it, I was able to find a couple of side photos of recce Casa-212 (TR.12) aircraft, but no pictures showing the underside of the aircraft. Without info on the size & locations of the camera windows/ports, I will have to pass on making that variant. I guess I will make both of my kits (CASA C-212-100 & C-212-300/400) in Royal Thai Air Force markings. Thanks again for your response. Larry
  8. The Spanish Air Force operated some photo reconnaissance variants of the CASA 212. Does anybody have info on the interior camera installation, as well as the camera windows? I assume they were on the underside of the aircraft. I would like to convert one of my Special Hobby 1/72 CASA C-212 kits to that variant. PM me or email me direct at lengesath AT cox DOT net if you can help. Larry
  9. Thanks, just ordered it!
  10. Thanks for that link. Will take awhile to look through everything there, to see what will help in my build. Larry
  11. I try to keep my model aircraft builds to my 2 preferred "themes", Reconnaissance aircraft, and Thai aircraft (Military & Civil) Regards, Larry
  12. Thanks for that info. Well then, I guess I will fall back on to "Plan B", building the kit OOB, but making it a WHIF Do-24T in Royal Thai Navy markings, as if they "acquired" one during or after WW2. Larry
  13. Great link Markus Thanks so much!
