CarLos Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Hi, welcome and congratulations for the nice model. Did you use other kits parts for the new wing, or was it entirely scratchbuilt? If it was the case, which materials did you use?
wavodavo Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 OMG! That is so wicked - excellent work and welcome to the forum. Dave

If it was the case, which materials did you use yeap scratch built.. used plastic sheet to build the wings and tail assembly. the fuselage is all that's left of the Novo attacker! the plastic i use is the what left of a bath panel!! when i fit new bath sweet. i always keep what left of the side panel here it is in its ruff built state.

Nice modelling Buzzer but looking at that kite gives me the willies, I wonder if the pilots were paid extra danger money. Reading my Barry Hygate book, I see that it violently broke up during a high speed run of 525kts and just 300ft of altitude. Total airframe time just 14 hours/36days/28flights. What colour paint did you use?

What colour paint did you use? it was very hard to find a colour photo of it to try and match the colour... but i did find a colour post card on the net. so went from that.. and walking round B&Q one day. found a colour in the "plastic coat" range of spray cans that was bag on the same!!! bit of a result really.. i can find out the name of it if you want?
BritJet Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 (edited) Having done the HP88 this way myself before the Maintrack/Whirlybird vacform was available, I just wanted to say well done it looks the part. Just one small point though, the serial numbers and outlines to the fin flash and roundels were silver rather than white. As far as I know there weren't any colour photos taken of the HP88 before it's crash, if it had made it to that year's Farnborough it would probably be far better known. Keep up the good work - what's next? Steve Edited January 24, 2012 by BritJet
