Madmonk Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Was in Meadowhell Modelzone on Saturday, thought their stock of plastic was poor. I think it is the first time I have walked out of there with nothing. I take it that as this is a GB and not the general Whif area of the foum there will be plenty of WIP reports and photos from all these excited modellers, my lancaster is sat in the corner of the room waiting to be pounced on, in a quiet moment I'm sure I can hear it shaking in it's box wandering what I have instore for it, poor thing!

Daniel Posted July 26, 2010 Author Posted July 26, 2010 I'm glad we're all excited, I am too! Yes, we want lots of build threads please. Dan
F111Fan Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 it's the thing I've been looking forward to for a while-something to kick start me again. I've done no modelling for 3 months
Basosz Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 (edited) I thought I could occupy myself with the no-instruction sheet Wellington, but it's almost done. Figuring out where everything goes turned out to be easier than I though. So now it's Tuesday and I'm again almost without distraction. Maybe when the Wellington is done I can do the Eggplane Corsair as a quicky... *Jumps through the room like an excited bunny* Edited July 26, 2010 by Basosz
Micha Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 (edited) For the record, this is my first groupbuild and I'm very excited about it. same here ... but I gotta start a bit later, I guess. I'm in Austria from Sunday to Wednesday I thought I could occupy myself with the no-instruction sheet Wellington, but it's almost done. Maybe you've read about my two planes ... Concorde and A380 in Interflug colors they never had So why don't you build a TU-134 or IL-62 in British Airways colors ... or as KLM machines? Backgroundstory: What if the communist would have won the cold war? :D :D Edited July 27, 2010 by Micha
Micha Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 btw ... @Admin: I'm not allowed to use the messenger feature on this board But that doesn't matter ... I tried to send a message to Dan to insert my name and my both projects to the first post of this thread
The wooksta V2.0 Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Heads up for all those who are members over of the What if site - there's a section in the group builds for the GB here. Not everyone on What If is a member here (although I know plenty are!) so thought it would be a good idea for some cross promotion.

Backgroundstory: What if the communist would have won the cold war? :D :D I've read about your ideas. They sound good. Civilian just isn't for me though. The only civilian craft I ever built was (intentionally) destroyed by massive amounts of fireworks when I was 12 The Concorde and the 380 do sounds nice though. I absolutely adore the Concorde
Micha Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 (edited) if you are more interested in war stuff, then take a look at my other idea btw ... I've been to Twente, Enschede on a Hacker camp in 2001 just one week before 9/11. It's a nice little city and I felt deeply sorry with all the victims of the year 2000 Sorry for being OT. I'll update this thread soon, but after the start I'll probably not update anymore, after all, we have our subforum now. Dan

hovis Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 OK you win. Looking at some of the other entries, my little FAA Hornet is going to look pathetic on it's own, so I'm going to do a second build too
