  1. I believe that is already under consideration but don't know for definite.
  2. On behalf of Alan and Geoff, thank you to all for your comments on the show and glad that you enjoyed it, everyone seemed to be having a good time.I will echo the comments about the lighting which, unfortunately, is beyond our control however I will make sure it is mentioned when we debrief the show at next month's meeting.Once again thank you to all who attended whether as traders, clubs or general public and look forward to next year. Steve
  3. Welcome, lived on the island in Newport for twenty odd years, hence the username,1 worked at the hotels for society's ne'er do wells, moved to West Yorks 3 years ago.I'm guessing the shop you refer to is Upstairs Downstairs in Sandown, know it very well.
  4. Attended for the first time with the Wakefield display.Thoroughly enjoyed the day even though I didn't buy anything. Thanks for a good day.
  5. He also served a 2nd tour with the Reds as Team Leader.
  6. Really? One of my cats never got that memo, the one time I didn't replace the gun barrel with a metal one. 😩
  7. Looks really good.A couple of questions re the Xtreme Metals, are they airbrush ready like Alclad or do they need to be thinned and if so, with what.Tia.1
  8. Excellent work, however the single-seat Hunters did not have a frame on the rear of the canopy.Good work though, must get my F4 boxing built as a Swedish a/c then fancy this in 4 Sqn markings or conversion to a Swiss a/c.
  9. Just a small point and apologies if someone has already mentioned it, but the exhaust staining on the fin is best done after all the decals are on.
  10. Thanks Kingsman, agree with what you say about chipping being overdone, I also build aircraft and feel the same about heavy weathering especially on US Navy aircraft from the 60s and 70s.Might just stick with my usual wash and pastel approach.
  11. Haven't built any but have looked at them in the box, look good.I believe they are aimed at the wargaming community so simplified compared to the likes of Tamiya, Dragon, AFV Club etc.Have a look at the Flory Models site, Phil built the Huey helicopter over the Easter weekend and was very impressed.
  12. Am currently building the Tamiya Matilda in the caunter scheme and looking to do some chipping.Does anyone know what colour would have been under the camouflage? I know that the Germans used a red oxide type of colour did we use a similar colour or were they factory finished in Home Front colours and overpainted prior to shipping to the desert much the same as those deployed for Op Desert Storm in 1991? TIA.
  13. Further to my comment a few days ago, I found myself going into the loft today to retrieve my Hasegawa boxing to build it using the Daco sheet with Ambiorix on the intake. 😄
