John Masters
I really must remember the next time to paint the leading edges first, then mask them...anyway...the masking was fun and I think it looks very nice. Time for decals today...and, of course, I will have to remask the canopy! --John
81-er
Having painted the leading edges first and then masked them up for the main colour on my Sabre, I'll be painted the leading edges last on anything in future. It's been a real pain. The Clunk's looking good though, John James

The same labor time goes into each...Thank you for the compliment!
Corsairfoxfouruncle
Having built two of these now I found it easier to paint the de-icers with flat black/nato grey after the paint was on. The masking gets a bit fiddly and tiny for an easy job.

John Masters
Seeing as I've signed up for the Blitzbuild this weekend I need to clear some bench space. It's time to wrap this one up! Decals...very nice. Thin, opaque and they slide off beautifully. Satin varnish... All that needs doing are the pods on the wingtips and the landing gear. Everything is painted and ready. --John
John Masters
I'm calling this one 'done.' I attached the landing gear and the rocket pods. I'm thinking of leaving it 'clean.' You know, Belgium, 1950s, Cold War, NATO...all that. Not much hot action. I'll take better pictures tomorrow n better light for the gallery. --John

zebra
Fine looking Canuck John. Looks very good in the Belgian markings. Will we be seeing you back here after the Blitzbuild?

Thank you Dennis. Why do the Belgian roundels make everything look great? It was the same with a Hunter I built...
