LorenSharp
Now it is time for the rollout of my little war-weary 1/48 Fairey Albacore from Special Hobby. This plane has more holes in it than a piece of swiss cheese and its the 2nd time I've done a BIplane. the first was a TAmiya Swordfish and it was not pretty. One day I may dis-assemble it and redo if possible, if not I'll strip it down for reclamation and get a new one, but no matter. A FAirey Albacore you wanted to see so on with the Show! A face only a mother could love. This Albacore represents X8942/5B 828 Sq Hal Far, MAlta towards the end of 1942 Here is the link to the build
LorenSharp
The paint job is a mixture of Model Master Enamels, AK Acrylics, And Floquil Railroad paints and Alclad II Aluminum. Upper camo is MM RAF DArk Slate Gray and AK RAF Extra DArk Sea Gray. The underside Floquil Weathered Black. Once painted I toned it all down with a watered down MM Radome Tan. The rigging I used EZ Line and some small thin rod that I scraped down to create an airfoil shape. THe EZ line was also used for the antenna wire. PAnel lines I used Floquil OIly black to highlight After applying the decals,a few light coats of Acrylic Flat and some crushed pastel chalk to tome down the insignias THe bombs I 3d printed as I didn't have any readily available and the kit didn't come with any. To simulate the chipped paint and wear and tear I painted a base coat of sliver and used a salt technic to do the chipping for me. BY accident I also discovered that while handling during construction my fingers also wore off the paint realistically to create more wear. So there youhave it and a s alway all comments suggestions and ideas are alway welcome. Thanks for checking my little creation out.

Harold55
Very nicely done and I am very impressed with the ability to 3D print the bombs.

Grey Beema
Great job, I don’t see anything to make me want to hide it away. One minor suggestion, take the photos against a plain non reflective surface, it’s easier to see the fruits of your labour that way..

Thanks Grey Beema, It has its issues but its ok I wanted to take pictures in a better place with a photography drape, didn't have anything I could use. By the next build completion that will be corrected.😀
