Romeo Alpha Yankee
Thanks Robert, correct! I also need to pretty up the base of the stand.
Romeo Alpha Yankee
So some masking and painting has occurred Might have overdone it! That'sbetter When the tape comes off I think some blending will be required.
Romeo Alpha Yankee
Masking removed and panels toned down with thinned base colour
Robert Stuart
Looks impressive Ray, though I'm not sure all of your masking has been removed in those pictures, not yet. I do like the variation that I see in the greys.
Dermo245
Liking that a lot and the grey shading is terrific.

Once I have finished the detail paint the rest of the masking will come off.

Robert Stuart
Lots of loveley subtle greys there Ray. Out of curiosity, how many builds do you run at one time?

Out of curiosity, how many builds do you run at one time? Ahhh, too many! At the moment there are 3 active builds on my very cluttered bench. Once the decals go on the AP-3 I will back to work on the P-8 Just dropped some decals on a shelf queen from 2016 Oh, look! it's another Orion!
Romeo Alpha Yankee
Decaling has begun, though I am using parts of 2 sheets, so I have realised some decals are yellowed. I might have to remove them and go with the less detailed but un-yellowed sheet.
Romeo Alpha Yankee
Some in progress decalling shots, the eagle-eyed will see some of the yellowed decals which I will have to remove and replace. The Chimira ( the fish thing!) on the tail is too small for the time period being modeled so it will also come off and be replaced by a larger one.
Robert Stuart
Progressing nicely Ray, I can not see the yellowing of the decals from here - though the greys are clearer (to me) in this set of images
Romeo Alpha Yankee
Thanks Rob, the yellowed decals are the rescue arrows around the cockpit and in the first image and couple 'cut here in emergency' boxes forward of the fuselage roundel. I have removed them and painted them over. Unfortunately, I had a spillage accident on the right wing during the touch up that needs repainting, so close to finishing! I thought I might have had it finishd last night until that happened 1
