Mancunian airman
This is my FIRST dabble into the larger scale than my usual 72/76 so I am learning as I go. One would think that these 'tilly' vehicles were all the same but there are a number of subtle differences. Alterations made included . . . Eliminating the cab roof spare wheel recess Flattening the bonnet of its cheat line Eliminating the 'Gills' of the Austin engine vent system replacing the above with the Hillman vents add a grill to the engine front Altering the front wheel arches realign the front wheels repositioning the main headlights making square the doors Move the door handle to the higher position Adding a Sill beneath each door Deepening the rear body section behind the rear wheel arch re-positioning the petrol cap taking out the rear wheel arch(es) a new rear 'wooden' tailgate taking out the rear (window) sections in the canvas tilt May I present my Hillman Utility vehicle . . . . I intend to use alongside 32nd scale aircraft so hopefully the slight difference in scale will not be obvious The Hillman utility WAS used by the RAF hence the conversion . My next 1/35th will be the IBG Bedford QL to be used as crew transport to a Lancaster. Many thanks for looking in Ian Edited November 12, 2018 by Mancunian airman

Bullbasket
Nice conversion Ian and paint job. I picked this up at Telford last weekend. Looks like a nice kit. John.
MikeR
Looks good! I've always rather liked the Tilly family and you've done a great job of the conversion. Mike.
