Spitfire31
When I saw the first pic, I thought – what? From the fourtg picture on, I thought – wow! Superlative build and weathering. Very realistic impression. Kind regards, Joachim

HL-10
Very nice, and different. There are so many variants of the Sherman, its good to see variations.

HammerUK9
Fantastic work Peter! Are all those numbers visible in the second 'finished' image the casting marks made on the real components? Tim
Hamden
Very very nice a great looking Sherman. Nice to see an unusual scheme Roger
Knaupel
Thanks guys painting an weathering is no secret. I will build the M4A3E8 for the Korean Group Build, so I can show how I reached this result. @Tim All M4 Parts have a Part number. I think the US Army was the first who used such a numbering system. Here you can find some interessting notes: http://the.shadock.free.fr/sherman_minutia/data/Sherman_Foundry_Symbols_and_Trademarks.pdf If you want to build a Sherman, this Homepage will give you a good overview: http://the.shadock.free.fr/sherman_minutia/index.html Peter

flighter20
This model is nicely built. You have a real photograph of the tank in this marking ?
Knaupel
Thanks guys Your words mean a lot to me! @flighter20 No, I don´t have a picture of that particular tank. It is a "look alike" built without a real historical role model Peter Edited October 24, 2013 by Knaupel
flighter20
This patriotic password on the side of the machines used on tank KV-1. On your model is not complete - it is not the logic of the text. Otherwise, the model is nice.
Knaupel
A Trumpeter KV-1 was the source of the decal. I can´t speak or read russian, thanks for the explanation
flighter20
I just wanted to help - complete the inscription in the translation is about : Kill the fascist Toad ! Just find the 3: part of the text and put to the left on the text, and everything is ok....My weakness is English - it is not my native language - I hope you understand me a bit. Sgt.Squarehead
I think what our friend flighter20 is saying is that you have an incomplete slogan.....You need to find another part for it to make sense. I don't read Russian either.
Knaupel
The Problem is, that I can´t change the slogan without big "surgery" on the model. I know it for future projects but I won´t change it on this one. Lesson: "Don´t trust a Chinese writing Russian" learnt ;-) @flighter20 Bevor I start my next Russian tank, aircraft .... I will contact you, thanks for your help. Edited October 25, 2013 by Knaupel
