    Back on dry land again. Still not adjusted back onto "dayshift" though and waking up at odd hours. still trying to get my "land legs" back too, swaying around like a drunk man!

      lol! I used to live on a narrowboat. I'd get "Land sick" not sea sick after a few weeks!

      I'm like a man possessed! Well actually like a man redundant with lots of time on his hands. I was hoping to get those Phantoms finished before the end of March but the enamels took weeks to dry so I started on this Dora to pass the time.

    been home for over two weeks and haven't done any modelling! Drat to school holidays. My major painting session I had planned turned into painting the shed!

    Bit of a disaster with my gloss coat. It's gone very grainy at the wing roots.

      That happened to me a few times. Caused by the paint spray having further to go to reach the "corners" and drying before it hits the surface.

      Just keep the airbrush closer to the model and don't spray the gloss at an angle across the wing from the wingtip or the walkway/side of the fuselage picks up the overspray that's already dry before it hits the surface.

      I guessed it was the gloss coat drying mid air or bouncing back off the surface and hitting the fuselage dry. I'll have to try and polish it back.
