  1. I can really imagine this Corsair waiting for the next sortie on a remote airfield somewhere in the Solomon Islands. The weathering looks excellent.
  2. An excellent Mustang. Seeing this beautiful finish I am eager now to built my own Arma Hobby Mustang Mk III which I recently acquired.
  3. Thank you for sharing these pictures of that interesting museum. In particular, on behalf of those who live too far away to pay a casual visit such as me.
  4. Thank you for sharing a picture of this F8F-1. It is sad that its owner Howard Pardue who passed away when it crashed on April 4th 2012 is no longer among us.
  5. Thank you for sharing. I can spot a lot of classic vintage kits such as the Matchbox Tempest in 6 Squadron markings.
  6. Thank you for sharing. To be honest, I have never seen that type of aircraft before.
  7. Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures.
  8. A very interesting collection of Croatian, Serbian, Bulgarian, Romanian Slovak and IDF aircraft. Thank you for sharing.
  9. This is a very impressive finish for a vintage kit! 👍
  10. Thank for sharing these pictures. Ever since my last visit to Duxford I have been a fan of the Dragon Rapide.
  11. A very nice Aussie Spitfire. The pilot A F Lumley from New South Wales flew his first tour of duty with 131 Squadron in the UK. Later he was also assigned to 452 Squadron.
  12. Thank you for sharing these pictures. In particular, I like the Dragon Rapide in RAF colors featured in the first two pictures.
  13. This is a beautiful 15th AF Thunderbolt. You did an excellent finish. In particular, I like the drop tanks you have added and I can see that you have also taken a lot of research into this project. The colour of the tanks is matching exactly with the photos in E R McDowells book about the 325th that was published by Squadron/Signal back in 1994. May I ask you about the source of the decals? They are looking very pristine so I think this is not from the sheet that was included in one of the Hasegawa Special edition boxings back in the early 90s. Since you mentioned the missions to the USSR above I may share some information about it. The first shuttle mission of the 325th to the USSR took place on June 2nd 1944. At that time the unit was already equipped with P-51 Mustangs. Not only did all three fighter squadrons participate but also many 325th FG ground crew members who flew with the B-17 which were escorted. The target was Debreczen in Hungary and the whole formation continued to fly to a Russian Airfield in Pyriatin. From there targets in Romania were attacked on June 6th. A second shuttle mission that also targeted Debreczen and its rail yards took place on June 26th when B-17s of the 8th air force where escorted by the Mustangs of the 325th on their way to Russia. If you want to read more about the operational history of the 325th FG Osprey Aircraft of the Aces #117 is highly recommendable.
  14. And sometimes there is more than one mistake on a sheet just like in that one. P8522 was not a Spitfire Mk IIa but a Mk IIb. Interestingly, they got the profile on the sheet right which is showing the cannons. Too bad that I didn´t notice that before I had applied these decals on an Airfix Mk IIa.
  15. The Mosquito PR XVI is indeed one of the few good news from the 2023 range for 1/72 modellers. So far, I have shied away from buying the B XVI because of the issue with the bomb day doors since I was not able to procure either aftermarket bomb bay doors or TT 35 decals. The PR version has fortunately no such issues Given the re-release of the Spitfire Vc this year I am actually hoping that there will be a reboxing of the B XVI as TT 35 with the right decals in the not so distant future. This would recitfy the mistake without a lot of effort for the company although including a corrected bomb bay and maybe even some other parts that would be required for the construction of a post-war B 35 would surely be welcomed by many modellers.
  16. A very beautiflul build. The Chinese had a wide vareity of aircraft from many different sources at their disposal for the defence against the Japanese Invaders. The Chinese pliot who shot down three A5M (two of them were shared kills) in this plane also flew US-manufactured Curtiss Hawks.
