  1. Just seen this Hope someone does a decal sheet for this, in any scale! Rob
  2. Thank you for that link. It does seem they have everything I am looking for! £12 postage isn't too steep either, and their BAe Hawks look quite nice too! Rob
  3. The Italeri kit also has weapons bays, but the fuselage detail of what is the RAM tape IRL is stupidly exaggerated. Also, to my eyes, it just doesn't look as 'F35' as the other two.
  4. I really like the Academy kit, I have built 3. I have also built one of the Hasegawa kits, and although they are around the same price, the kits are too similar in detail level to spend the extra cash on the Weapons Sets. Also as said above, the Academy kit has weapons bays, and I find the Academy kit is generally also ~£5 cheaper. Rob
  5. Does anyone sell modern USAF weapons (bombs and missiles) in 1/144th? I need some GBU-12s and GBU-38s. Any help with where to source these would be greatly appreciated. Rob.
  6. A400M flying circuits again, compared to the Herc it sounds horrific!
  7. Had an Apache over today! They aren't that common down here in Dorset!
  8. After the AMK Mig-31, and how immense it is, I am going to wait. If the AMK f-14 is to the same standard as their Migs, it'll be a winner.
  9. Following from my last question, does anyone have any suggestions for a first RC aircraft? I have seen good things about the E-Flite Apprentice. Does anyone know this aircraft?

I was a Futaba guy for years but my latest radio is a Spektrum DX8. It's a really good radio. Just check for compatibility between Spektrum stuff. Some of their entry level sets didn't work with mid-pro level stuff.

Have a look on ebay for tx , i recommend spektrum for this and matched with orange rx its on for a winning combination, i bought my other half a cheap 3 channel rtf micro cub , perfect to learn the very basics and is pretty crashworthy,

  10. Just had a lone RAF Puma fly over. And now a Navy Merlin!
  11. Might just be me, but it reminds me of the FW200 Condor! Rob
  12. Does anyone on here fly RC? I am looking at starting and wonder if anyone else already is involved.

I've flown for years too. As above, you will crash, but trying to learn on your own will greatly increase the crashes per flying hour stat and slow you down in the long run. I fly both electric and internal combustion. Both have advantages and disadvantages.

My son flies em and I repair em! We fly electrics - joining a club is a great idea so you can fly with an instructor and gain confidence before going solo.

Thank you everyone for the advice! I have since found a group near me and am now just saving for an aircraft. Does anyone have any ideas for a good first aircraft? I have heard good things about the E-Flite Apprentice.

  13. Wow! This is beautiful! You've perfectly captured the sleek lines of the F-18, and also the beautiful Swiss landscape! I really like the way you have portrayed the heat distortion! Rob
  14. These are some really nice pics! I love the USAF aggressor schemes, and wish we had some aggressor schemes in the UK! Thanks for sharing! Rob
  15. Had a Tornado over today about 3pm. Quite low and strangely quite clean!
  16. Just had the Dorset Air Ambulance (G-DORS) land basically on my doorstep!
  17. This is what I've heard recently as well. Sad to see them leave so soon. The Raptor is such a beautiful bird.
  18. This is looking very nice! May I ask, how did you mask the fan blades? I'm trying to figure out a way to do it for my BA example.
  19. It's fine I worried too when I was building my BA 788!
  20. I prefer the 747-8 as an aircraft, but that 'Bus does look very nice!
  21. The white swirls should be on the decal sheet from 26.
  22. Good lot for today, the ETPS BAe 146 from Boscombe, an A400M from Brize and 2 Merlins from Yeovilton! Just hoping the Alpha Jet will be up later, it has been around with a couple of hawks over the last few days.
