Westland Wessex HU5 (1:8)
coneheadff replied to Wonko the Sane's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
Great idea with the PE parts! One question...do you have any good pictures of the air intake? There are many from the back, but none from above looking into the intake. -

That could be my first 1/32 aircraft. Always loved the RF-8...hopefully including decals for a late G model

I don't think that it's the UK personal, but the EASA crap. I don't know about the US equipment, but over here everything has to be done in accordance with the EASA regulations. Even the military equipment

I love it!!!! Great job on the camo. You're right. Those tanks looked like out of the factory here in Berlin, but who cares...Great paint job!!! -
Fantastic job Artur!!! The camo is spot on. I love it!!!

I really hope that someone will come up soon with a detail set...but that would be a loooot of resin. And that will probably raise the price of the whole project well over 120.

Thanks Bill! I think I found your walkaround today while going through a tone of pictures on the web. I can't believe it...it seems that there is a photo of every little detail on the net. Except for that huge intake!?!?! Unfortunately the next Wessex in a museum is more than 700km from here
-
Unfortunately there is absolutely no detail at all
-
Thanks a lot Hendie! I went through your build a couple of times now and every time I look at the details you added I'm more and more impressed. Great job!!!!! I'm not in town, but I will try to post a photo of the Fly part in the next couple of days. Cheers, Alex

Thanks a lot for your support Bill! I completely forgot about Hendie's wonderful Wessex. I will go through his WIP and see if he has the answer.

Ossington and Julien...I found your pics in the walkaround section earlier, but nevertheless thanks a lot for your help!!!! Bill...that would be great if you have something. I thing a lot of us will try to build the nose without the FOD cover, but than it's necessary to add some details to that big intake.

Hi all I received my Fly Wessex yesterday and while I will probably not start the build that soon, I was wondering if someone have a good picture of the nose with the mesh cover removed. I have the 4+ book and searched the whole net for good pictures, but it seems that there are no pictures of the inside of the intake. Cheers, Alex
